I mean yeah, that's just how Geoguessr records work. But it also requires a ton of knowledge and memorization for the game to be easy, so the repetition of playing game after game is very meaningful

No, actually, I just learned that the Alaska map is pretty easy once you're able to memorize the important streets grid on Anchorage's grid and a couple other things. Alaska is small in population, and only like 10-15 towns/cities have Google coverage, so once you get the idea of which towns come up more (Anchorage, Fairbanks, Wasilla-Palmer), then it gets easier and easier to recognize the differences in landscapes and street names between them all. I'm actually from Illinois (I have the Geoguessr record for that state too)
