I know Open Season has been declared on Nessun dorma, but this aria is best sung by a dramatic tenor. Listening to this is like listening to Domingo sing baritone arias. Pretty enough, I guess, but the wrong weight. And holding a high B natural while the orchestra resolves to a D major chord turns that B into a “Hollywood 6th”. Yuck.
