Thank you…I have my 2nd graders make this on Van Gogh’s birthday at the end of March. Van Gogh is one of my favorites for sure! I wish I could make a self portrait the way he did with the gray felt hat. I’ve never found anyone to emulate that style.

I placed mine in a frame with the plastic covering to protect the yarn from dust.

I used to yarn paint on cardboard, but now on canvas so I can properly frame it. I use sharp scissors, Elmer’s glue (white glue), and yarn. I sketch a picture onto canvas and color match my yarn to the picture. Thanks! I’ve released these with my classroom since 2007 when I learned how to do it. We usually release 3-4 a year, but this year with all the rain, the caterpillars are plentiful! 🙂🐛🦋👍🏻 I have 3 more to release!
