Electric Scooter Tire Change Step By Step - No Pry Bars Trick
Kukirin g3pro
Thanks for the clamp trick By the way, WD 40 is bad for rubber, it drives it dry , then will worn off faster. Silicone grease or spray is better for rubber.
If you notice at 06:56 I am using “specialist silicone” specifically made for rubber safe applications.
Any of these for 10in?
These are for 10" tires amzn.to/3ChDw9v
@Scooter-King. do you know if the engwe y600 is a tubeless tire from stock. Or comes with tube?
@@buddahmayne9273 From what I've read, they are tubed tires. Makes sense at that price.
I love these tires on my INMOTION RS
Between the solar p1 and nanorobot d4 max which one would you suggest? I’m open to any recommendations for under 1400. I don’t off-road and would use it on regular terrain to go to school and etc. My main concern is reliability and just best bang for my buck specially with all the sales they have on their website. For reference I’m 6 4 250 pounds. Great video btw !!
Both those are really close in performance but, I would lean towards the Nanrobot D4 Max at the moment just because it has C type suspension and a slightly lager battery. The Solar P1 has 18Ah battery with 1200 Watt motors and Max weight of 330lbs, and the Nanrobot has 23Ah battery with 1200 Watt motors and a max weight of 265lbs. But it weighs a bit more at 70lbs vs the Solar at 57lbs. If portability is a big issue then the Solar takes it. Currently the Solar is $1,299 and the Nanrobot $1,199 for the Pre-Order but goes up when that's over. So it's really what features are the most important to your riding style.
@@Scooter-King. Thank you for your response, I have heard mixed reviews about support regarding the nanorobot customer service. My main thing is reliability and support after a year. Also I have been thinking about the Apollo city pro What has been your experience with either or?
@@iliyadkarami1979 I dont have support experience with Nanrobot as all their support is overseas and email only. My support with Solar has been great and very responsive. Stateside stores on both east and west coast. To be fair, every scooter manufacturer does support via email these days, so it's probably boils down to the scooter that has the features you want.
@ the Apollo City Pro is a bit pricy but here is a good unbiased review for info about customer service: ruclips.net/video/6atg7I1kdso/видео.htmlsi=-a4hW3rGc2MutGrn
Anyone know where to get a good pair of road tires? My off roads suck when riding in the street, just want something more smooth.
Check these out, super smooth road tread on top and semi off road tread on the sides. Best of both worlds. ruclips.net/video/8r4eSq_vJe8/видео.html
@ Thank you, I very much appreciate the help. I’m going to try these out and see how it goes.
As the stock tires are 10", and these are 11", what (if any) mod did you have to do to make certain they aren't hitting anything (such as the fenders)?
On my RS5 Max the fenders were really close. So I just put some washers under the fender screws and raised the fenders up about an 1/8 inch. Worked great.
@Scooter-King. Thanks for the info. Greatly appreciated. Ordered the scooter last night (is shipping today, and should be delivered tomorrow), followed several minutes later by ordering the tires (and a spanner wrench set). Just curious, but, are the screws/bolts holding the fenders metric or imperial, and what diameter? As I'm heavily involved in RC, I tend to keep spacers on-hand having various IDs, and various lengths. If I don't have something that would work in my stock, I can easily obtain them from Amain (one of my usual go-to sources for RC stuff).
It wasn’t deep enough! Any tire can take a quarter of an inch puncture.
@@Badland52 my stock tires couldn’t
If your tire is less than a quarter of an inch-thick, then you have a inner tube 😃
Really good advice and i would have never used clamps. And the silicon based spray is all we should be using... thank you, because ive used both soapy water and the usual WD-40 till now. Big mistake.
How has the scooter lasted in the long run your videos are great tests and im thinking about getting one of these i only really need to go like 6 miles to the skate park and back its got some hills or i can take a gravel path idk im about 200 pounds with my skateboard and bag probably 220lb and do you have any other suggestions at this proce point ?
There are some seriously good scooters now in this price point for sure. For heavier riders and payloads you definitely gotta look at the V Max VX4, the Emove Cruiser V2, and the Punk Rider Pro. I would even look at the Nanrobot D4-Max for the best overall value as an alternatives to the Solar P1 .3.0, especially if you plan on any off road stuff since these all have C-Type suspension. The Solar is a killer scooter but the front shock design kinda limits its terrain options a bit. But for travel, its hard to beat.
@@Scooter-King.Is that scooter worth buying??? Do they make a seat for it???
@@snoopysrc They do have a seat option for the Solar P1 3.0 and its currently $1,299 base, so its definitely a good deal.
Great video my g!
I just ordered mine can’t wait to get it
It doesn't always work, it just really depends on what puncture you get really. I hit a 4 inch wood screw and my self healing tire walls and it was shredded.
I would love to see the entire inside coated in a future version instead of just the tread area. Here's hoping.

Everyday I take my e-scooter to go to work and ride the shoulder line, my focus goes to any possible crap I'm about to run over than the traffic. All because of e-scooter 15 MPH speed regulation not allowing me to match myself in the traffic when i could go 30 MPH.
If you like those tires you'll love the PMT Efire Tires on that Roadrunner.
Where do we get those Tyres?
ULIP Electric Scooter Tires for 6.5" Rims amzn.to/48idWxi
Got mine today! Ready for my first ride!
That's awesome!! Did those tires come with the scooter?
No, I upgraded the stock tires on the Roadrunner RS5 Max to these Dual Tread tires. I actually ended up putting them on all my scooters. The RS5 series has 6.5" rims but my Solar P1 has just 6" rims and they make them for both sizes now. Wow, thank you for the response. I currently have an Ausom Leopard. I've probably put about 400 miles on it, and thankfully, I haven't had any issues. I'm definitely ready for an upgrade, and your videos helped a lot to make the decision. Much appreciated! Thank you.
Totally agree! Self-sealing tires are a must-have, especially when riding near new development.
Such a beautiful ride! I'm looking forward to getting this scooter.
It still had a shimmy😅
mirrors are also really nice in sketchy areas or if you have a scooter thats fast and you like to speed less shoulder checks saves your back a bit and if your in the uk or aus can save you some fine payouts
Why won’t it charge ? The light bar just got one
You have to use a low watt charger . It says it in the manual. That's the only down side to this light.
Best video on the RS5 Max that I've seen. It's really helping me narrow down my decision on whether or not to buy this scooter. Thank you!
Best scooter in its class love our RS5s
sadly I opted for the pry bars, I'll try buy some proper hand clamps but I did use a clamp tool and ratchet strap. Dragon predator tyres are hell to deal with...
Wow thanks 👍 Some nice tips there bro I reckon ya shud try a bit of rope Theres a few ways can be used But loop it round the wheel rim post the 2 ends inside tyre and fish em out other side separate them bout 5 cm or whatever then put foot on it and pull till the inner side bead can be levered with wide lever👍 Just jump on it to get it on or use rope lol😂 Ps dont go to fast may cause friction and kill rubber 😂😂
nice🫰l love IT😎
They are bright, but as you can see @4:10 you are blinding the police officers, and everybody coming towards you. Which could be very annoying to them not you.
@@mobettaspice they are actually pretty easy to adjust to avoid that. Once you get them set, they work great.
A brilliant & handy video 🎉❤😊!!! Liked & subbed. Thank you.
Great tips‼️
Hey Thanks! Your video has been a great resource for me. I ordered the Ulip tires and the headlights, etc.
Awesome video, seriously. Exactly 💯 what I was looking for. If you don't mind...... What is the capacity of the jaws on those channel locks? Would the standard 2.5" width work, or would I need some bigger ones? Like 4"
@@Jeff.Spacek83 for the bigger/wider tires, I needed to get bigger channel locks, made it much easier for sure.
I got my brand new Teverun coming in a few days with a set of PMTs to go on it. I've been scouring Amazon for clamps and pliers specifically for doing the tire swap. Can't stand the thought of using a set of spoons or screwdrivers to do the job. I'm feeling pretty confident thanks to your guidance here.
Did you replace the plastic washers on the rear with teflon or something? What about the front folding handle? The plastic clutch there always squeeks, if its not that its the rear. It drives me up the wall; I dont have a solar P1, but one of the many other scooters with that frame. Wondering if you have any tips...thanks.
Nvm i hear it squeeks , it ruins a perfectly nice ride every time I hear it 😅
@@EbenEliasjr the front folding handlebars is the first place that I add some white lithium grease to, really helps quiet them down.
@Scooter-King. yea i did that and un bolted rear suspension bushings replaced with teflon ones and put grease between them and tightened
@@EbenEliasjr Great suggestion!
looks like a fun ride! i see kaabo handlebars 👀
I’m purchasing one of these scooters and I live in Springfield OR. Can you post the starting point or even the route you took. I’m looking to recreate this ride for myself.
I started at the Old Mill district bridge. Took the paved trail that goes under the road towards Riverbend Park. Followed the cobblestone path along the river all the way to the bridge and took the gravel path to the right of the bridge. Followed that all the way to the top where it meets SW Reed Market Rd. Took that up the hill and through the first roundabout headed towards the next roundabout (Century Drive) . Right before you enter the second roundabout, you need to cross the street and you will find the entrance to ‘Haul Road Trail’ paved path. This parallels Century Drive and takes you all the way out of Bend and up to the Ranger Station. From there you can cross the highway towards Conklin Road which leads to 3 different river locations (lava Island, closest, Dillon Falls boat ramp, farther, and Bentham Falls, much farther)
I have a set on the way for my custom-built 63cc scooter. I’m looking forward to putting some miles on them!
I was trying to balance tires with small weights opposite the runout... never thought to to rasp them instead. Great idea!
Good stuff man, I'm probably going to do something like this to my RS.
these tyres are poop!!!its very sh…..driving!!!this is how i had problems whit it!!!
i have recently ordered a Solar P1 Pro 2024, with off road tyres. i will consider a hybrid set if needed but what would be the size of the tyre that i should get? all i know is that the tyres are 11 inches but i dont know any other numbers,
Unless Solar has changed them, the tires on the P1 Pro are 90/56 6.5 on both on and off road versions. The first number (90) is how wide the tire is, the second (65) is how tall and the third (6.5) is the rim size. So theoretically any tire with a 6.5 inch rim size will fit however, the Solar P1 tires are slightly wider (90) than the ULIP (80) so the tire may be slightly more narrow when mounted. I would double check with Solar on the tire size first. I see that the new self healing tires are starting to show up on other Solar models ( FF Lite, P1 3.0 ) as well so, its worth asking Solar about it.
@@Scooter-King. thank you! Keep it up with your videos, loving them!
Pretty smart idea, I ride through heavy traffic frequently so having narrow handlebars is ideal
Thanks for sharing, i have the RS5 max and i wanted mirrors for more safety when riding at the park and city
Super useful. Thank you!
RS5 Max is pretty much BETTER than the RX7 it seems, at least as long they didnt fix the RX7 well known issues
I line that tire balancing trick. I have a scoot with off road tires that would shimee hard at about 40 mph, I held the file to it where the road usually don't hit and sure enough in a few seconds it smoothed out nicely. No more wandering steering sensation at 40 mph
The 30 mph looks like 15 mph lol are you sure it’s mph not km?
@@Randomcjao nope, it’s mph…that’s the problem with GoPro super view, sucks compared to Insta 360
Looks kinda slow
thanks for these videos, loving mine so far. but how do i get rid of brake squeak? it doesnt squeak at higher speeds just when coming to a complete stop.
@@JO-du1rg All rotors will make some noise but a little brake cleaner goes a long way in reducing it.
