With the lunatic players today in the NFL I could not think of a better man to understand them then Jim. He also stole a bunch of his brothers players and the best front office guy in the league who wasn't a GM in Joe Hortiz. I'd say playoffs this year.
I’ve been a Tennessee Volunteer fan since I was a kid in the 1980s and I respect and admire Coach Saban for what he’s accomplished in his legendary career. I won’t miss his team whipping my team nearly every October, but I think he’s the best to ever coach College football. He expects and demands a lot from everyone in his program and he gets results. His old school methods might not be as effective moving forward, but that doesn’t change what happened at LSU and Alabama while he was there. I wish Coach Saban, Mrs. Terry and family the best in his retirement.
So glad he's gone. What a horse's a$s. Kudos to his "recruiting" prowess but since NIL and the new transfer portal rules leveled the playing field (sort of) he hang it up because he knew Bama couldn't have that advantage anymore. Saban never won a single game out scheming anyone. He just had better players...Period!

Who has Herbie beaten? And then again, who has he continually lost to since arriving. The SEC has been a shell and Herbie was a beneficiary. The last 6 AU/FL teams (21, 22, 23) have avged right around 90th in both programs school history in terms of their record. He has faced awful AU/FL teams that have many, many times have derailed other GA teams.

He meant to say they would be afraid. The point is valid, which you might have missed: Worms, in fact, don’t have guns so let’s not worry our time with that silly hypo.
I actually take it at face value. First, worms are too small and lack the dexterity and knowledge to operate a machine gun even if they had them. Second, I doubt most worm-eating birds are aware of the potential danger of machine guns. So whether birds realize machine-gun wielding worms are no danger is a moot point. Thus, I find his hypothetical extremely weird, but accurate.

I loved him as HC of 49ers and was upset when he was forced out. He is a great coach and I now consider Chargers my favorite AFC team. But still a 49er fan.
