This is one of my favourite levels in the WAD, it's not to everyone's taste, but I do like that each section has its own visual palette

I find this level difficult to find my way around. Fort Hades and City of the Unavenged are tricky to learn too

The missing secret in this level is rather annoying. I get it mistakes happen, but to tag the recessed area of a switch as a secret has got to be deliberate, there is no way you'd do that by accident. The sequel Memento Mori II has another egregious example in the Super Secret level DejaVu. In that instance an imp is glued to a barrel in a monster closet so it cannot move

When Doom speedrunning was organised by Compet-N tagging Secret 8 proved troublesome for a short while because its a small sector just over the step. That was until it was discovered, that not pressing both switches in Secret 5 allowed it to be tagged The final chaingunners nest being two secrets is also rather silly, considering there are three unofficial secrets that should have been tagged instead, and would have been better choices than Secrets 8, 10 and 11

Despite the risk of being massacred by Chaingunners and Shotgunners in that small room just like you, I do actually like this level. The music isn't bad either

I have trouble with this level, I can never do the infamous jump to the second part. Looking at your demo it seems you don't so much jump off the pillar as walk off it, would I be correct

Well done getting the Arch Vile jump for the two 'uncollectable' secrets. I never thought of using the invulnerability to help you. I'd seen a TAS of this done NM100S - and presumably so had you - and wondered myself if it could be done with regular play, I did try it myself once, with cheats on as a proof of concept for my own amusement. Dragging the Arch Vile halfway round the map wasn't easy. I nearly killed him as a matter of fact, just needed one pistol shot to down him after getting the two tricky secrets

You also have to collect the chain gun at the beginning. If you don't one of the switches mobes further away and you can't reach one of the doors

That opening is such a troll move killing off all Reality and Maximum Health demos in the first second

There isn't an obvious place to put a secret in this one, but if I had to choose I would tag the lowering platform with the Revenant and the chaingun as a secret

The room with the Supercharge could have been the secret. It's bizarre why it wasn't to be honest
