mi familia tiene en su mayoría el pelo rizado u ondulado, pero gracias a los cánones de belleza eurocéntricos y malinchistas nunca se da una correcta educación para tratar este tipo de pelo, aún cuando la mayor parte de la población lo tiene. Qué te recomiendan? keratinas, alisado japonés, brasileño, planchas etc, todo lo que te borre el patrón del rizo. Siempre me decían que andaba despeinada por el frizz natural del rizo, por las puntas secas y el pelo maltratado de tanta plancha sin protector térmico adecuado, solían decirme bruja, despeinada, con pobre higiene personal, cuando en realidad mi pelo y mi identidad estaban siendo censurados. Especialmente en el área médica es difícil que te vean presentable cuando tus rizos no son los estéticamente aceptados. Todavía recuerdo a un doctor que me dijo que me arreglara el "pelito" porque lo andaba volado, y simplemente eran rizos cerca del nacimiento del pelo, es como que te hacen sentir mal porque tu pelo sea voluminoso o grande, LO SIENTO, pero me gusta mi pelo, empecé a educarme y a cuidarlo, y se ve sano y se siente sano. Siento más confianza de andarlo suelto, y de dejarlo secar sin definir. Ojalá todos pudiéramos aceptar nuestras diferencias sin tratar de homogeneizar a otros.

How do we sleep with them? I put it in a bun and wear the satin bonnet but in the morning the hair is stacked and when I try to defuse it it becomes frizzy
