Wow, I need this exact frame please tell me you could help me out
Sorry. Really don’t have plans to build more in the near future. Other obligations I have to take care of first.
@@DarkCornerGarage I understand could you tell me where you get the wheels from?
Do you happen to know about a boonie race called Boonie Bike Beat Off? I heard it used to be a thing in Racine.
My buddy went to one. It was invite only.
What’s ball hone grit is good for new block to clean it up like you did?
240.
Any updates after this video I own a geely
Getting back to it soon. Thanks for watching.
I just turned my 212e hemi into a 223 with the EC 223 stroker kit. Man what an improvement. Much bigger kick in the pants. Lil torque monster! I bet this thing REALLY rips. For the record I spent I bet 25 minutes setting lash on my hemi lol!
The torque is amazing. Lash can be so tricky sometimes.
Is this something you would build and sell?
Not something I’ve considered. Check out Childish Concepts for getting an engine built.
Nice…
Love it man! Thank you! Believe it or not this helps me see how far I'm leaning the bike over and how much further I can go!
I’m trying to get better at keeping up.
@@DarkCornerGarage You've definitely come a long way this year. Love to see it!
Thank you it's almost like I'm there.
Cool. Thanks.
What degree of rake are you setting the neck at? I am new to mini bikes so I don't want to go all in on a JIg. Thinking of buying a Rascal FT frame from go power sports and whacking the neck off.
22°. I built one at 20° and it seemed to push the front.
Well done again!
Thanks.
Grate video
Thank you.
One hell of a night
Hey my name is Steve, I'm from the quad cities in Illinois, my wife and I, ok mostly me lookn for mini bike races nothing near us couple places in iowa , but would like more information on racing up there in Wisconsin too , it looks like we r bout 3 hrs away from the tt track we r couple hours away from milwaukee, if u could help with info I appreciate it. Thanks Steve

Sorry. Not sure how I can do it and have it fit correctly without the bike.
It’s crazy to think this bad boy is still going strong after 48 years. Demon is old but it has a soul keeping it going.
Thank you for the time and Vid! 😇🙏👍
Thank you for watching.
Your video helped me tremendously. From making custom throttle cables (used a 1/4 drive 5" extension as a crucible). Added a blow torch and did the dunkaroo. Thanks man. Also had flooding too with carb and had to reduce needle to a 2.o as well
Good to hear.
Thank you for excellent coverage of the event. I feel like I was right there with you
Was a fun event.
In other Videos it doesn't look that fast. 🤔
Video is regular speed. Think this coaster is very dependent on how it’s loaded or something. But the speed definitely varies.
@@DarkCornerGarage Thanks for replying! Also sorry that your video isn't that popular. 😢
@@thebigfamilyabcgamingthank you for watching. It’s that small channel grind.
Thanks for sharing again James
Good to see ya.
That looks so fun !!!
Definitely.
Idk how I got here, RUclips recommended this to me. I must be the target audience then...
Thanks for visiting.
@@DarkCornerGarage thanks for sharing that vid with the world and thanks for your reply! :)
Looks like that 236 is running as it should.
This bike has just a mild 212 on it.
Thanks for sharing 🙌
I miss your face.
@DarkCornerGarage Thank's James
Where and when can i get a roller like this?!?!?!?
Idk. Too much life right now. Thank you for the interest.
@@DarkCornerGaragewould u be interested in selling this one ? If not can u keep me in mind if you ever decide to sell ?
I am racing this bike. So not interested in selling it. Will keep in mind though.
@@DarkCornerGarage thank you 🙏
Thank you for this information I really appreciate it. I’m 33 and just got deep into mini bikes about a year ago. Now I have 5 bikes, 420cc engine billet flywheel,rod,50lb springs. Then I have a 196 all built as well. It revs to the moon and back. I’ve brought moped 13” rims and welded a hub to them. They work for street riding but idk if I’d want to be on a dirt track really beating on them.
That’s cool. I’ve ran these wheels for over five years now without issues. Just check the spokes and bearings once in a while. Are you in the Milwaukee area?
Always trying to find different wheels. It’s a pain in the ass. I welded a hub on steel moped rims for my mm80. Still not in love with them.
If it works though.
Good video. So many questions about these cool bikes. What bike are you riding? What size wheels and where can I get them?
I’m riding the bike I built in this video. ruclips.net/video/Z0dzP1OMVJ8/видео.htmlsi=hQNBAiCu24z_vyC8
12” rims and this is what I know about them. ruclips.net/video/D9-KfHRZ05U/видео.htmlsi=Rdtj6vOKOovdedBB
Im torn between this bike and the Trailmaster Hurricane Pro
The trail master has more features. But I think the mega moto is built tougher. It’s like riding a two wheel atv.
The weather coming home was ROUGH! Nice job on the track though!
Yeah it was terrible the whole way. Then I hit Alpine traffic.
ever tried packing the tube stock with sand and capping off the ends so keep the bend from deforming?
I have heard of that. But I haven’t tried it myself.
Video is way to long and the music is killing me.
It’s all in the details. Sorry for your experience.
Your applying old school effort - good stuff seldom used today. Then people wonder why the $150 motor never last long. Factory doesn’t do what you did.
Thank you so much. Most people don’t want to put the time and effort into things.
@@DarkCornerGarageyep I wanna build one of these, but I’m skeptical if I should because no way I’m doing half of what you did. I clearance block, check ring gap, and that’s about it for my adjustments, lol. Everything else is getting dropped in with fingers crossed.
What fuel tank is that?
I made it.
So are you just not able to pull the bearings out or is the hub on a 12mm wheel not able to fit the 15mm axle if you did find bearings that work?
The bore in the hub is different so the standard 15mm bearing doesn’t work. I received some 12mm wheels that were supposed to be 15mm from overseas that I couldn’t get the company to fix. My buddy found some bearings on eBay that I think were listed as roller skate or skateboard bearing that fit the 12mm hub with a 15mm id. So it is possible to convert the 12mm wheels to 15mm axle.

@DarkCornerGarage yes I was looking the OD is different between the two of them (35mm and 37mm). I found some bearings that should work.
very nice engine
Thank you.
I was def running out of gear, valve float @ 8300 lol
That’s a lot of rpm.
@@DarkCornerGarage waaaayyy too much lol big ol 60tooth. Ran much better with the 50tooth @ 7750 rpm a few weeks ago. Way more speed all the way around the track.
If u hsd drill small hle in dow pinslock, tite could ease up in it to bottom out easier ????!!!!,for crie,n out loud use ur mind ,Dud!!!!!
Definitely. Thanks.
So u put lock tite in threaded hole sso it runs down to bottom,,possibly keep,n stud from bottom,n out, should be put on threads of studs or bolts, let it dard,n lightly then install it,so simple, read instructions, bud,,,,,,!!!!!
Thanks. I’ll do that next time.
I see this was in 2022, but do you happen to know if this race/show is happening in 2024? Great videos and keep em comin'!
No museum races this year. The easiest way to find events is the Wisconsin mini bike racing group on Facebook.
Great ridin bud!
Thanks.
I ran a 14 inch off my pitbike it had some good roll time compared to the smaller wheels a lil wonky at full turn but my pegs didn't scrape because I dropped and stretched it 💪🏼💯💨💨💨 think ima try the 12 s
Yeah I would love to run 14s. But Midwest rules allow 12” max. I think Texas is 10” max.
Google search SKU:WISRCS07200 😉
Very nice at the end where you were lapsing them with ease! that was that stroker putting in some work i think! hahahhaha you got to love trhe strokers!
Not trying to knock you brother cause it looks like you know what you are doing and you do it clean! but when you stated you needed 12 thousands ring gap my jaw hit the floor! i build & race limited & open & Stock appearing motors. i go all out nothing but the best stuff and always end up with winning motors. Brother none of my motors have over 2 thousands ring gap. and all my big motors run 400 stroker cranks with usual 140 over bore on cylinder with very high lift cams all retarded -6deg to get that rpm up around 12000. and about 6 to 8 advanced flywheel key. 400 stroker seems to be the sweet spot for high rpm's and live to tell about it. 140 over on cylinder is the sweet spot for not blowing head gaskets. You will need to use the very best lifters and valves & double springs to turn those rpms and not break shit but i do it all the time. you will also need to rebuild that engine after every race weekend. not that it needs it but i like to inspect every part after running one that hard. also to run tiny to no ring gap you need a run in stand. mine turns 250 rpm and i use up a set of rings just breaking it in. i run each motor for a month on that stand coating the cylinder with liquid teflon every morning. trust me brother you will end up with a motor that is sealed up tighter than anything you have ever built and you will feel the difference when you take it to the track. One more thing, i see so many say do not polish the intake port cause the alcohol will beed up and not combust right.. do not sacrifice good air flow over that. i make mine like a mirror then i take a punch and punch up the head all over makes it very jagged and that will attomise the alcohol just fine. Brother you built a fine looking motor. hope you give some of my tips a try, you just might be surprised at the results. oh i forgot to tell what i race. i only race B&S flat top 5hp blocks. the old style ones are the best. and i have a few billet Blockzillas. just thought of another tip for the poor racer that cant afford billet flywheels. use a 3.5 hp cast flywheel on the 5hp block. just make an adaptor that will drop the coil down to the right height. it make a big difference and is safe to run. Happy building & racing Brother!
Thanks for watching. I just use 87 octane e10 pump gas in my engines. The point of this build was not maximum effort. But a strong running, very reliable engine that is easy to maintain. I race on everything from mud hole trails to 1/3 mile dirt oval. 2 thousandths ring gap is nuts. But I know the cooling ability of alcohol probably allows a different setup than I know. I’m surprised you didn’t have a problem with my .0045” piston to cylinder clearance.
It was such a bummer James! Catch ya next week @ Azzy
I’m rebuilding mine. Can you please help me??? I just have one question.
I can try. What is the question?
At 17:22 what does that orange/yellow gear for and how do I align it when putting the cover back on?
That is the governor gear. Does not have a timing mark and doesn’t matter.
@@DarkCornerGarage oh ok! Thank you so much.
A quick question if you don’t mind, why did you go with a cast side plate? I’ve watched a couple of builds and every one doing 236 has used the cast
Pretty much a bang for the buck thing. I haven’t had a side cover fail yet or seen one. That billet side cover is pretty expensive and I see much gain with it in my configuration. Thanks for checking out the video.
@@DarkCornerGarage thanks, I’m getting parts together to build one and like the thought of a sleeper with the cast. I’ve seen some people use some jb weld to reinforce the webbing around the cam in the block and cover and was thinking of going that path.
@@PumpkinKingXXIII don’t fix unless it’s broke.
That was the most silent fuggin drive i ever had jesus man would it kill ya to spark up a convention lol steve bucemi Fargo 💪🏼💯💨💨💨💨 good run
What was your final torque on the rod bolts? I noticed you went to 150 when measuring the gap. Same on the final installation?
Yes 150inlbs as per manufacturer.
