I've been programming since... 2009, give or take 6 months. I've learned I'm slow, but thorough. It's mostly been jobs, rather than games, so I've got much to learn still

@@ABardsLife really cool, i've started to program. i've been around computers my entire life and know how they work inside so it's been fairly straight forward learning this stuff. any tips on what i should focus on if i want to earn employment down the line?

​@DeBoRL yeah, get tiny portfolio pieces, if it's for game programming, or a good resume for programming in the corporate world. Corporate world will ask you to explain how things work, so study up on things in the job descriptions hard.

@@ABardsLife gotcha, yeah i'd like to take the corporate route and do side projects for fun with games. knowing myself, i'd do it like that just so i dont get burnt out and dread "work" if it ends up being some pretty mundane type of programming job i guess? not really sure what its even like at this point to work as a programmer.

Depends on the company. My experience, it's a lot of high deadlines and they prefer the faster band-aid fixes. Drives me batty at times, but that's why I am working so much on here. If you make a game or prototype let me know. I'll play it and see if I can give you a leg up. The creative side is worth the learning curve and the hard days.

Yeah. I learned that mistake long ago. It takes a bit of courage the first couple times, but you're not the only one you're saving at the table. It's always nice to hear I'm not the only one who does this

I'm Glad it helps players too! I'm pretty excited to make videos based on the lessons I learn each game, since I do this even when not recording

Thanks! I appreciate the support. I have all the small moments and nuggets work down, so down the road I can tie them in as plot-limks allow. I'll likely use that challenge in a later scene or town. I'm looking forward to how they could propel the story. It's a good group

@@ABardsLife Well, it's heavily implied that the Noble Pursuit in BOTW is alcoholic. Also, the Milk Bar was used in a lot of Zelda games. There's the milk bar in ALttP and ALBW which is located in Clock Town. The Milk Bar from Majora's Mask, and finally there's Telma's bar in Twilight Princess, I don't know if it's actually a milk bar or just a normal bar...

I haven't played most since I was a kid, so your memory is impressively better than mine on this. Lol

Yes. I was torn when eliminating it. It's a classy thing and a Wisconsin thing. If they are starting out... It doesn't make the cut to serve their audience. Once they get a few drinks under their belly and appreciate a cocktail, it's the next thing in line. Brandy and Dr. Pepper was my go-to until I ran out of brandy this week. Lol

I gotta find the recipe, but it's a delightful orange, berry, chocolate, vanilla mix. I'll have to figure out how to record that kinda crazy episode. Lol
