They may be comfortable.. but they don’t fit you properly and look terrible. At least get them hemmed to the proper length.

I own the Action Heat gloves. Set at their warmest they don't last more than 30 minutes during a bike ride in 32 F weather or colder before your hands freeze. The batteries hardly last longer than 90 minutes, and they take a long time to charge.

I have the women's new balance fresh foam X Kaiha Road slip resistance shoes, but I did not find the insoles they come with comfortable. I removed the insoles from my Nike shoes and put them in my NB.

My honest thought is that who’s just standing around outside in the cold without walking or working so really who needs it you only get cold when your sitting around doing nothing and I don’t see that happening a whole lot your rather walking or near a fire your not just standing still

This is a great and helpful review but the BCA’s own manual is terribly inadequate. This is a very good product but people depend on it for their survival and at a price of over $1000, there is a responsibility to produce absolutely clear, thorough, and helpful manuals and or videos. The BCA site does neither. It has videos with music but it’s hard as heck to know just what they’re actually supposed to be showing. The printed manuals are absolutely terrible. Vague, unclear, imprecise, virtually useless. They need to not only field test the gear itself but field test the instruction manual and video with real useers to see if they can understand without error how to use the equipment. They are clearly not doing so. Thankfully real world users and GearChase are providing good information but the manufacturer has the primary duty and they are failing. I’m very sorry to say this because they’re a good company with good products but it’s time to stop putting up with shoddy manuals when your life may be at stake

Unfortunately the 8000 series can have issues with the wires inside the head lamp which become damaged due to heat or friction which causes the battery to short out. There are videos/shorts on you tube showing this issue. Its take a long time to get a response via email and there is no phone number to contact. They'll ask you to buy a replacement cord for the battery which isn't even the issue. Buyer beware.

How do you get rid of the ashes on the xl just turn it over and shake the ashes out I guess

Nice review buddy! I got one of these gearbags yesterday, am well impressed with it's build quality, sits neatly in place with tube, levers and 2 CO2 cans slung underneath. Excellent bit of kit.

I have yet to see a cleaning video for the cap as its different construction and design from the Podium Chill caps.

I have the tan one

Great video - the bottom latches swing back like a door. I used a paint marker to put a white dot on the corner that I push on. Smith should have molded a raised dot there. Instructions are certainly not clear about the motion of the latch - rotate like a door, push down like a battery compartment. The MAG are a much better system than the metal latches on other Smith googles. The 4D MAG XL are OTG, Over The Glasses, BUT I found that I had to flex the frame out, "flatten them," to make them wider/less curved so I could fit the face/foam part over my glasses. One they are on there is space for my glasses inside the googles. More space than other Smith OTG like the I/O.
