If I am a qualified chartered accountant from Ghana with the relevant work experience, is my certification recognized in Canada and if not, how do I fit in the CPA exam module?
If you're a full member in good standing with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana), you would be able to take advantage of the application process for members of an IFAC organization. Depending on your application, you may be eligible for advanced standing into the CPA PEP. To obtain the Canadian CPA designation, you would still need to complete portions of the CPA PEP. www.ifac.org/about-ifac/membership/members/institute-chartered-accountants-ghana While the Canadian CPA program is nationally consistent, there are regional schools across the country that offer the program to students in each region. The CPA Atlantic School of Business delivers the CPA pre-certification program to students and candidates residing in Atlantic Canada and Bermuda.
