Gosh, I love Mellotron sound and I search bands using Mellotrons (especially modern bands - but also classic from 70's of course). I haven't listened to Bigelf previously, it's my first contact with their music and I think I'd like them.

the first song i heard from these cats was "neuropsychopathic eye" and it's only gotten better. and I'm glad they took me away!

Because of the heavy Mellotron use I also hear some King Crimson in there too. I love Mellotron and Hammond B3 which you don't hear a whole lot nowadays. To our misfortune.

These dudes are retro!!! And great!! I love the keyboards. This is the was R&R sounded before it strayed from the truth. I hear Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and The Beatles. Some of my all time favorite bands. But Bigelf is very original too and write some great tunes. Love it.

Maybe crimson + zepellin but I think there are better comparisons...I don't hear genesis in there at all. However when it picks up around 1:40 it loses me...too much rockin...might as well listen to Sabbath or Zepellin at that point. Their songs don't change enough or have a weird air about them...it's mostly the lack of change though lol. Just my opinion. This is definitely music and definitely isn't bad...just not for me and not prog in my opinion.

this is so funny because when i discovered Bigelf my first impression was "Bigelf its like Genesis meets Crimson, meets Zepellin" xD

I was told this was progressive rock...I don't really think it is : /...I'm sort of disappointed that I don't find this interesting...meh oh well. Back to Genesis and King Crimson I guess lol.

No wonder why these guys ROCK so bad-ass-ly.. They have Master Yoda with them ;)
