Keep in mind, the 351C-4V in the Eliminator is not the same as the 351CJ that was introduced later.

Same heads albeit open chamber lower compression 8.6 to1 the same cam grind used in the 428-CJ. My chrome air cleaner lid says 351-4V with Ford Logo text on label. Q CODE CLEVELANDS.

@@eliminatorownersenthusiast158 Did not know that but i know some Pantera's did & some did not. While not needed 4 bolts with more compression i would like them if your going racing.

169 Boss 302 Cougar Eliminators built in 1969. 469 Boss 302 Cougar Eliminators built in 1970. If you are talking gear ratios, the 4.11 gear set wasn't available from the factory for the Cougars in '69 or '70. In '69 the 3.91 gear set was the "tallest" you could get with the Boss 302. In '70 you could get 3.91's or 4.30's in the Boss 302. Of course smaller gear ratios were also available.

Indeed! KTL Restorations did an amazing job ~ as usual!

It is being completely documented and many pictures and videos are available on KTL Restorations' Facebook page. In fact, they just recently posted a video of it finally getting painted back to Competition Orange!

A reasonable price for the car, IMO. Prices continue to move up though, and paint color can make a big difference.

@@mikeb.1705 I agree! My best friend in high school had a 68 cougar XR7 Dan Gurney special in robins egg blue with blue interior. He bought it from the original owner but like most of us that were teens in the 80’s it got trashed. It was super clean when he originally bought it. I did have a 64 Cyclone that I bought from the original owner. 289 4V C4 auto, bucket seat console car. Rangoon red with white interior

KTL Restorations in Virginia is restoring it. There is a surprising amount of sheet metal on it that can be saved. Check out their website and social media for pics.

That's good i have a 1970 cougar my self. I was born in 1980 wish i was there when they came of the line. My dad tell me that 67-70 cougars were beating mustang and camaro he said it was a smart guy car. My dad love mustangs so i know how much it hurt him to say that lol.
