I give Tom Snyder credit - he interviewed Iggy Pop, The Clash, Kiss and U2 (among others). He tried to capture what the public was interested in at the time. However, you can tell he's indifferent to it and somewhat baffled by what "today's kids" were into. Snyder came from the get married and sit up straight generation. Everything that happened once the Beatles arrived has mystified people like him.

I really like John Lydon now but he was an idiot here.These two guys and JL to a greater extent were contrived angry for angry sake morons. They go on this show to promote something and he acts like a spoiled kid that's pissed off at his dad. This has nothing to do with youthful expression it's rehearsed belligerence. JL has changed a lot since these days. He was contradicting himself. JL was all about image here. This whole interview was a facade put on for publicity. He just called all the people that bought his records senile animals. Nice! I like what punk represented and I liked their music but this was complete bullshit.
