The actor for toy maker is phenomenal, holy shit this scene is amazing
I love the Toymaker's expression for what to say about Clara, like he's trying to figure out which Clara Oswald to talk about and how to explain her deaths
a very Joker thing to do
As soon as i saw him it was strange not seeing him as barney was half expecting him to be chatting donna up
Who and what and where
bro is packing ngl
bro ☠💀
i know we’re yet to see the payoff for this arc, but i love that the doctor doesn’t yet have a defence for the flux. he can come up with justifications for everything else to put his mind at ease, but when the flux is mentioned he has nothing. heartbreaking.
Who tf recorded me Guys im sorry to say it but im gonna change my nickname and pfp soon, so no more finger

WHAT DA DOG DOIN
I love how the Toymaker makes the puppets disappear every time he brings up a new one. They should be on the floor but nope reality controlling as he is he makes them gone.
With exceptions, I've never liked Moffat's writing, but even I think this "Take That!" to the Moffat companions' bittersweet endings to be too mean-spirited; it acts like the "bitter" part completely cancels out the "sweet" part (Amy and Rory living their lives and growing old together, and Clara and Bill each getting more time travel time and space, with Bill additionally getting a second chance with Heather). It's like saying Rose, Martha and Donna's happy endings are completely meaningless because Rose is still stuck in the parallel universe with only a clone of the Doctor, Martha and her family are traumatised and Donna forgot all of her adventures and how brilliant she truly is.
I mean… thats the point. The happy endings don’t cancel out the traumatizingly painful and awful things the companions went through. Clara’s soul has to be torn apart excruciatingly first, and now even though she can travel by herself, she’s not truly alive, she can’t breathe, she doesn’t have a heartbeat. Bill had to literally be torn apart and stuffed into an absurd suit, living through some of the most excruciating pain a human being can experience. Amy and Rory have eachother, but will always feel homesick for their own time, Rory can’t ever see his father again. So just because they had “happy” endings, is that all right then? No. No, I don’t think it is. And the heartbreak and the rage the Doctor feels after every single time the Toymaker blows up at him, I thought at least, was incredibly poignant.
@@DjangoCaron The traumatising painful and awful things don't cancel out the happy parts either, though. To quote 11, "Every life is a pile of good things and bad things; The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa the bad things don’t always spoil the good things or make them unimportant."
@@JaneSt.ValentineYou’re absolutely right! But the Toymaker is obviously trying to push the Doctor’s buttons, and successfully so since the Doctor is a man who has always blamed himself. It’s just an insults game, to try to distance and scare Donna. I think it proves the Toymaker wrong since she still stays by his side.
I never really liked how for a long while the only way to leave the Doctor was to get stuck in an alternate universe, get your mind erased, get sent back in time, get killed by a deathbird, and get turned into a Cyberman. I really appreciated Martha just walking away.
I think that made that one instance even better. It is incredibly hard to walk away from the Doctor. They usually have to be torn away from him (modern series), or he literally has to abandon them for their own safety (classic series). So Martha just putting her foot down gave her so much power. That’s why I think she’s one of the best companions.
'The Doctor... the man who never stops running. Never looking back because he *dare* not, out of shame...'
this is really bad. wow.
Nope, ‘tis good
@DjangoCaron is it though? The bad german accent and the cringe dialog just don't work for me. Just my opinion.
The 10th doctor has now been split to be able to retire from being the doctor and live a full life for a second time after doing it with Rose. He has a well deserved retirement while a new doctor continues the job! Well thats alrighty then!
What about Rory?
What about him?
@@DjangoCaron The Toymaker doesn't mention Rory even though he was a companion.
@@MrBobcoin26Yeah I was kidding. Its been a long-running joke in the fandom that Rory dies or is forgotten about every other episode. It’s a distinct possibility that him not being here is just some sort of cheeky reference to that pun
kayluh put your dogs away kayluh
Of all of them Bill got the worst death
i love how the doctor genuinely starts to look hurt when he mentions all the companions
Why does it feel like a Scott the Woz joke?

I love how the toy maker was making the doctor answer him and putting him on the spot of judgement. The doctor is a constant for good and evil but he has collateral damage
I'm actually very glad he didn't mention River.
So all these companions came after Donna

I can assure you, this is not from Better Call Saul. Mike would never get upset over barking dogs! What is he to you, a senile old man? Because trust me, he ain’t. Edit: Okay, I see now. This was a blooper. That makes more sense.

Yoo i remember watching Better Call Saul. A good comedy and light-hearted sitcom imo. This episode "Mike lost his dog", though you can hear dogs barking , it's not actually there. Its all in Mike's head lol. He a schizo goof-ass 😭
I'm surprised the "ToyMaker" didn't mention anything about "Rose Tyler" seeing as she was a companion
Donna already knew about Rose
@@DjangoCaron Yeah, but wasn't the ToyMaker trying to hurt the doctor or make him angry?
@@Teshi_KokoroYes, by revealing truths he didn’t want Donna to know
@@DjangoCaron Ahh okay, I gotcha. I was just slightly confused as I thought he would've mentioned xD
I've only seen the modern series. But I could definitely watch him bring up his older companions.
I can't believe the dogs were the Bay Harbor Butcher all along
Hes basically calling out the Doctor's double standard. The Doctor is so disgusted by how the Toymaker keeps people around like pets, someone to witness his genius, and ultimately they die in the end because of the Toymakers carelessness or ego or something else. When in reality the doctor more or less does exactly the same thing.
This is the moment MIke became Finger.
Going to be repeating “Well that’s alright then” for the rest of the f*cking day
That's the SECOND reference by a powerful being to the Dr "preferring a red head". The other was made by the Dream Lord.
The Toymaker is so sick and evil for mocking 3 of the companions of the Doctor whom he lost after returning Donna home. A surprise that the Toymaker was able to realize that the Doctor had regenerated a lot since they last met when he was in his original form.
"Yes, he be liking the redheads". I laughed too hard at that one 😂.
Den dere was poor toshiko sato, locked up for years in solitary confinement by the doctors so called friends at unit, I didn’t even know about that one OH WELL THATS ALL RIGHT THEN!
