My bike is 7 years old and the frame is starting to rust, I don't ride it in the rain and when I ride near the beach I then wash it to remove the salt. I've had other steel bikes (non Brompton) that didn't get rusty that soon...

Do all Bromptons fit in the 29" Delsey Paris or are their some that don't. I have doubts that mine will fit. It barely fits in the Samsonite Stryde and I have to remove the seatpost. It seems like some Bromptons fold down a litle smaller than others.

Thank you Chris, I had professionally done also home use techcnics the only difference intead 10m to 9m home technic. Now :) the sad news I had own several saddlers' 1 of them purchase lately (no returns =my fault) was the most easy one till I started testing trought 100 Cent ride that was (for long distance test) All I can say the pain started to a point on my return standing up cause it was paintfull to seat. I thought rides for 20miles its fine. Im not sure what is the issues of course not me Im very fit 124Lb. I believe manufacturer's issue kind off flip a coin :)

I bought the bicycle 3 years ago,which seldom ride.About 6 months ago, I took it out & rode it for a day.Everything appeared normal. Yesterday ,I took it out from the storage case & tried to unfold it. It remains folded! Even the sit post was fully extended. I did sprayed some WD40 on the hook but problem still remains. Would you kindly tell what cause the problem & how to solve it.

Really great tips. I will be trying your tips when flying back to Canada with my 20 inch Trifold version. It is supposed to be 50 cm wider than the 16 inch but the same height & only a little deeper. Should be a good experiment or exercise in frustration. haha

Would be cool if they release a bike with threadless headset like T line, but made out of steel. The price of T line is just too much for me. Btw there's rumors about G line is about to be released, should be very interesting bike. Also getting one in Ukraine is hard. There's no dealers. Trying to get one through a local bikeshop, they have their contacts.

Now a days in Europe they will saw the hall things and take your bike.

Hi, Thanks for the tip... It has helped me pay close attention when installing. I have the same guards, put both on (top and bottom) and the shifting is fine, no issue. A few things that allowed me to get both pieces on and not impact the shifting. 1st the tape that came with the CF is very thick so I put a thinner double sided tape. 2nd. The placement of the top and bottom pieces is critical. I put the hook protector on first. figured where the hook hit the frame and placed the protector in the center. On the top piece I test fit it. There was a certain relationship between the top and bottom. The top piece fit further back than yours. Test rode and shifts fine in both the cassette gears and stormy archer internal 3sp... btw I ride a C-line.

Problem solved! My apartment is on the first floor of a building with no lift. I really like your way of putting the saddle on the shoulder. Awesome!! Thank you

Hi from Brooklyn New York. I’ve been looking for a soft water bottle type cage for my Brompton. I first got a regular metal cage but when I fold the bike to go inside a business for a few minutes my water bottle falls out. Also, if I carry a front bag, it gets caught on the water bottle case. I always carry water not just when I ride my bike. My water bottles are also insulated. Thanks for the information.

I ordered the Brooke B17 carved saddle a couple of days ago before I saw your video. I’m glad you like it. My stock saddle doesn’t look like yours. It’s large and fatter. Thanks for sharing what you upgraded.

Chris, a fabulous video. There are so many videos illustrating Brompton bike fold/unfold, but yours is the one I like because you show close-ups of each little bit, and explain why or why not you do it that way.

I carry my B in the upright position in the carbooth and strap it to the headrest of the backseat

Trouble with the pedal-up-and-push is that I naturally push with my bike on my left! Good hint about having the saddle pointed slightly to the side. Oddly I would push it like you do with it on my right in that situation. I watched your other video about the easy wheels, and that one was partly instrumental in me ordering some - can't wait to get them!

Any reason why you don’t like to use a mudguard?

I don’t believe you’re using it correctly. The orange wire is simply to go around your seat to remind you that the lock is locking your disc brakes. It’s a disc brake lock locks onto usually motorcycle disc brakes because they’re much more substantial. That cable is extremely easy to cut, just for a reminder so you don’t drive away with it on your disc and the damage the bike.

I say riding a Brompton in the sun instead of london rain good show what!😂
