Loved your video. We are going back to Tokyo in January so it will be Winter. Are the crowds just as big in the cold months? Trying to work out what time you actually got to the restaurant to get your seating time. Did the small breakfast meal not spoil your appetite for Sushi Dai?
Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed the video! We actually went to Japan in late January this year, so this was the crowd level in the cold months for a Tuesday. We arrived around 6am at the restaurant. We got the 8:20am timeslot for the non-chef table seats, which they only have 1 small table for 2 people. From what I remembered, the chef table timeslots available were closer to 9:45am. If you have scheduled activities planned for the late morning, I suggest arriving earlier (like 5:30) to be on the safe side. We shared the small breakfast between the two of us and we had a big appetite that morning, so it worked out fine. It was really cold visiting the Tuna auction and walking around Toyosu market, so we had to find an indoor place to warm up for a bit. I imagine some people would go back to their hotel to wait if they are staying in Ginza (about ~20 min taxi ride) and have a later timeslot. Hope this is helpful! Have fun on your trip! :)

Yes! The amount of sushi shown in the video was for 2 people. The omakase was 10 items/pieces of sushi for each person including the miso soup. You can also order additional pieces. So exciting that you are heading there soon!! Feel free to ask any questions that might be helpful for your trip planning! :)

Have a quick question for you, the limousine bus dropped you off directly at Keio Hotel or did you have to walk? If you did walk, what was the station/stop that you got off on? Thanks in advance.
Hi! Thanks so much for dropping by! The limousine bus dropped us off right in front of the Keio Hotel lobby. It has its own stop. The bus displays the stop names in English and has audio announcement. It was really convenient! Enjoy your trip! :)
