Fentanyl is one of the best substances to ween of off most hard drugs. Suboxone is a lot rougher when smoothing of the edges.

It's not that easy. Those drugs are just a replacement. You will still get sick when you stop using the Fetanyl/Methadone/Suboxone/whatever opiate or synthetic replacement you use. I know, because I stopped using heroin by starting morphine. Then I switched to Suboxone (buprenorphine). I've taken it every day for years. Fentanyl patches work just the same, only the effects wear off faster. At least with the suboxone, it's a steady supply so I can hold a job, but there's no free ride to get clean

I tried heroin when I was 17, even though I swore my best friend I'd stay away from it after her brother killed himself because of it. I loved it so much. My life was never the same. There hasn't been a day since then that I haven't had to think of it. I haven't touched it in 5 years, but I still have to take a pill every day or I'll get very sick. I have to say, in my experience....it wasn't worth it. Not even close. I curse at that day I first tried it. And I never even used the needle.
