Morning/afternoon?
The rubbish Westernised version at the local town hall never include this kind of training
Who is the woman
Molto bello
Is John Shepard im any of these ?
I've been doing some of these mainly the Squats and the Pushups. I went from barley being able to do 5 pullups to doing 15
Is no one going to talk about how hard this music goes?
This is so nice to see, annually during our Chinese New Year celebration we would what these videos, this being a more rare one, student of Ed Young who has also studied with Ben Lo. This is typical of our schools push hands practice. I am so grateful to the big name students that I met as well as, the minor ones. I hope somewhere in my body the lessons everyone taught me still remain! :)
The incomparable Maggie Newman, my favorite Chinese fencer but one. (And you can't blame me for loving my own great teacher, Bow Sim Mark. Both were trailblazers.)
I was just told that this is not Maggie Newman. Could be a woman named Pat.
Shocking fitness level needed to prepare for ancient combat. Alexander the Great's army saw what India's armies were about & wanted no part of it. Having done heavy lifting & endurance running these exercises are spectacular so exercisers try some out especially squat movements. I've talked to young Hindu's in Canada that seem to know nothing about these exercises preferring to use machines at gym that are far far easier but produce little.
Very pretty. But they are not trying to hurt each other. Athletic and beautiful. Not useful in a meaningful way in a fight.
looks a bit like a form of haitian machete training
No doubt.
love that music too
Super👍🙏👌
where is the effortless soft yielding power of Legend?
my same question
That only happens when you're fighting untrained people
Useful
This is ridiculous,it makes a mockery of the art!!! Brute strength which is anthesis of Tuishou...
This is not Tuishou!!
I feel like I’m gonna get a phone call from a Japanese girl saying “7 days”
😂
pls tell me what is this and what r the benefits?
What it is can easily be searched on the net; under tai chi chuan. As for the benefits. all form of exercising have their benefits. tcc, is no different.
So this is what even Mike Tyson took inspiration or his neck training
Man the ancients knew what they were doing. 👍👍👍
perfect boys
I really like these exercises but this video is frustrating to watch because a lot of this footage is repetitive, shot from the same camera angle, and cuts away too soon for the viewer to see the full range of motion of each exercise. The videographer could have made much better choices.
True, playing it 0.5 speed helps to see them better, the song also seems appropriate slowed down
Amazing
Where's the pulling exercises?
@@aniketsatpute2389 I understand.
It usually happens as rope climbing with a lot of variations in the akhada along with drawing a LOT of water from the well! But rope climbing is not functional hence, traditional hindu training stresses on lathi chalan(staff movements) to build a functional upper torso.
So inspiring! So glad to know your Mario. This is true Tai Chi! Much Respect.
Been Reading the classics lately?
This may be a beginner's class, but beginners can't fence like Maggie Newman. 🗡💛 😃
That’s not Maggie.
@@mnpli Yes I see Maggie around 1:56 with another student practicing
Li :(((
I read a lot of criticism below. They were having fun... learning about sensitivity, among other things, and if they have not been trained 'old school' maybe after this experience they will see the need. 5-10 years down the road become absolute tui shou masters. Teaching reaching the students is a true skill. Old school if I were being selfish is all I would do.
While the skill of the teacher is undeniable, it looked like the 3rd peng on the first duifang was not to the center but because of the arm/lever it still worked.
it s likes japanese sumo !!
Sry 13
Seen after 10yrs
It's very much difficult to learn tai chi form sword and it's the student that's having the trouble with it and not the teacher if it's being done wrong probably it's the student just give it lots of time and practice and the student will be so much better at it the teacher knows what he's doing don't criticize the taichi teacher he is a Master have some respect for him you should .he knows what he's doing it's us students whom don't know what they are doing understand? That concept. If you don't want have you been doing all your life at school? Your not smarter than the teacher esp. When it's comes from China. They been practicing taichi form and the sword form and saber form and fan form and the weapons forms since childhood and not us we just getting our toe into the taichi form and the weapons. MZS
It's sure looks fun there having the time of there lives and probably a lot of laugher great and good for them he was a very good teacher from what I have seen on the DVD the professor. Margie Sanchez.
Thank you for posting this💖
That looks like sumo no pushing hand.
Oh look, another taiji fairy who's never fought or grappled in his entire life. Do tell us more of your naïve assertions from the comfort of your woo-woo armchair, please.
And what do you think a tuishou match should look like?
Looks like there are some bots in the comments. Great tai chi though, crying laughing face, upside down smiley face. Someone for sure deleted all negative comments and only left obvious bots lol.
Is it true you beat wang zhan jun in 2000 at chen village competition?
That smile tho
My late Tai Chi Chuan instructor taught me to "Root. I was truly surprised when 5 students could not budge me. In my mind...I could feel their collective flow of their energy...and direct it to the ground.
