HOW TO DYE CARHARTT JACKET (RIT-DYE) RED
It seems dying the carhartt jacket is still really popular. I wanted to do another jacket anyway because I didn’t like how the first one I did turned out. Decided to go with a red dye this time, which I was in for a surprise with the results. I still think it turned out better than the first time but I’ll let you guys decide that in the comments.
Other than that I’ve been ducked off from videos for about 4+ months, but it’s time to stay consistent .

I’m not sure on the value but I definitely would sell them online to get more money. Sneakers stores wouldn’t offer you as much seeing how they have to be profitable once they sell.

I'm a fan. Only helpful hint ; I sometimes take apart a blouse or shirt and use it as a pattern to make another garment.
I like that idea. I actually have been thinking about doing something along the lines of that for a future project .

If you want finished edges, you don't need to seam rip and start over. You can remove the stuffing, trim down the excess all the way around the pillow close to the seam, flip inside out, sew all the way around again with seam allowance, and flip it right side out again and restuff! The raw edge will be encased inside the seam and it'll look neat and not fray 👍

Looks great! One recommendation is to put the good sides facing in, together, so the ugly or bad side is facing you, then sew most of the way until you have a couple centimeters left. Then you correct the fabric by pulling it through the hole, stuff it and then finish sewing. When you do this, you cover up the stitches which I think make things look nicer but also keeps the string safer because it's not exposed.

Don't be surprised if the color does not come off as shown on some of these videos-I had a nice vintage Detroit jacket that I did in green-followed all the procedures and instructions and was very disappointed in my results which was not a full even color dye job-I washed and rewashed and no change-main issue was final splotchy color finish-
I did a 2nd dye since the jacket looked so bad and that seemed to do the trick-
Next time fully drench the jacket in cold water before adding to dye mixture. It will always take the dye better and come out darker.
