I'm looking to buy a guitar to learn on, someone asked you which was better F310 F370 and you suggested the latter. Is that due to build quality or sound production? At this stage my untrained ear would not be able to discern subtle differences in sound but when I do buy, I want to buy a guitar that has superior playability (if I can use that phrase) and keep the guitar as long as I can before having to think about an upgrade (If necessary ). By the way your guitar playing is pretty darn mesmerizing.

FG800 all day long. A more professional instrument and has the classic, vintage 60s tone associated with the great acoustic singer/players of the same period. Yamaha is rich and bright, while the Fender is muffled, which doesn't help when trying to cut through noise in a crowded bar or through a mix when recording. I'd consider this important factor before buying, rather than making the wrong choice and discovering this when it's too late. I love Fender electrics, they are my favourites, but I'd always take Yamaha over Fender when it comes to acoustics.

For arpeggios I liked the Yamaha one the most, but for chords I loved the Fender one

Good review of the Yamaha ll6 great sound great shape only one fault to much Rosetta around the sound hole should have stoped with the main inlay it would have looked so much better not a fan of over kill every other appointments are bang on I'm a gitten one may do the replacements of bone on nut and saddle and set it to low action .

I have this guitar and if you enjoy mahogany then this is a good choice for you.

Out of these 3, I prefer the sound of the Yamaha the most.

With ear buds in, the Taylor has a nice drone hum to it over the Yamaha I found. Taylor sounded better to me when lined in. Cheers!

Excellent. What strings would you recommend for a Fender CD60 V3?

I have a Fender CD60 V3. The sound of the Yamaha is beautiful, very bright and open, but to my ears it gets confused when strumming. I prefer the Fender for strumming. I have also a Cort GA that sounds bright and open not less that an entry-level Yamaha.

I have a Fender Cd60 but I also like the sounds of all the others. The Yamaha's sound is wonderfully open, but I prefer it in arpeggios. In strumming its great openness sounds somewhat confused to me. Ibanez, Cort and Epiphone sound more or less warm and emotional, maybe Ibanez reaches the top under this aspect. Anyway, my Fender sounds very differently according with the strings I put on. With Martin strings it is amazing.
