Next time somebody calls me skinny, I'm sure I'll hear this song in my head. Finding some weird things on here lately! I saw Jimmie Rodgers perform at the Steel Pier auditorium in Atlantic City, NJ. It was 1964 / 1965 and he was before the headliners The Macquire Sisters. I didn’t know who he was but I became an instant life long fan. I learned every song of his and tried singing in his smooth soft style. I’m 73 yrs old now and I STILL know the words to his songs and sing along with his recordings This man gave me so many wonderful memories ❤️❤️🙏

I luv em those skinny girls , they make you feel gigantic. How uncouth in this PC world we live in today . I LOVE 60's-80's music. No proof-reading by lawyers' cause everyone didn't feel "offended" by the truth, skinny, fat, black, white whatever, people were mentally tougher than the PC crybabies around today, with their algorithmic music made from tracks 40 years ago but only enough to avoid copyright laws and a machine is now turning talentless gnomes into superstars , for a week or two until the next lot of crappola hits the airwaves.RUclips allows me to stay in the real music era of man's existence. The same has happened to comedy when the really funny stuff was around, like Rodney Rude, Kevin Bloody Wilson and Cheech & Chong , now they'd be thrown in jail and publicly shamed out of their career. What's the go when a dark skinned human can call another dark skinned human a N gga and that's acceptable but if a white skinned person uses the same word in the same text and is meant as a term of endearment, the unknowing PC wankers of today would have you trailed by social media and labelled a racist but at the same time , in Australia , we have a healthcare service for the aboriginals and another one for everybody else, NOW that by itself is the true meaning of RACISM but all the pc's don't say a word. Strange days indeed
