Wengen is a Swiss Alpine village in the Bernese Oberland region , 400 metres above the Lauterbrunnen valley at an altitude of 1274 m. This picture-postcard mountain village specially known for its timber chalets . A car free Wengen has been able to be reached from Lauterbrunnen via the Wengernalp railway. 🚃 (cars remain parked in Lauterbrunnen.)
