Nice with the 4A084
do you have airboat plan ?
Oi
Nice build.
Put you some drain holes in them seats.
Did that right after shooting this video. Also have custom seat covers now. I’ve got over five hundred trouble free hours on it now and am planning to upgrade it to an ecotec 1.4L turbo engine
hello, how long and wide is this boat.
It’s a Marty Bray hull from Live Oaks, Florida....he does amazing work!
It’s 10 1/2’ x 6’ wide
thank you very much for your quick reply, I am from Europe and I intend to build such a boat and I am looking for information
thank
I love it
Nice.
You got any pics of the boat dd or belt drive
Well executed build. Cheers.
Nice Job, I wanna build one, but a few things I don't know yet, like, why are the seats always mounted high, on Airboats. ? ?
Is this in lake garcia or stick marhs
This is in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan
hey can you tell me some more about the drive unit, and it's necessity? I've never attempted a project like this before, but I think I'm ready to try. I hope to get the smallest size engine available at a scrap yard, and make a 12 foot boat.
make a video the boat in the water, how much money do you have in this machine. Looks good
MAYBE A FEW SMALL HOLES IN THE SEATS.
Awesome. I just purchased a 4a084-4 to begin my Mini Build. Any specs on the prop/drive? Thanks,
You've got some talent. Thanks for sharing. Are those 4a084s hard to find?
Hi Shane, Thanks for your kind remarks! I've gotten over 50 hours on the airboat so far and it's a terrific amount of fun. I've used it both on water and ice and it really scoots. The continental 084's are fairly easy to locate and you'll see them occasionally on EBay and can be purchased through Saturn Surplus (but they are quite high on price). You should be able to find one in the crate for about $600 to $800 dollars in unused (Govt surplus) condition. If you are interested in mini-airboats, join the mini airboat site (www.miniairboatassoc.com). There is a wealth of information about building them there.
There's a guy on Craigslist here that has two 4a032-4s with starters for $350 each so I started looking at what they were good for. I NEED them bad, I just don't know why! I've built several wooden canoes and a small sailboat but never have even been on an airboat, but I do live In Florida. Could I use a 4a032 on a small airboat? Are there any airboats with two engines? I'm finishing up on a cypress sailboat and looking for the next project. Thanks for any info.
