Music that I write - about my experience of the world - from a very Blues oriented angle. Just love those moving air molecules...
Mapple Leaf Rag - second theme
Second part of Maple Leaf Rag - probably the hardest part - on guitar anyway

In process of learning the whole piece. I'll post the individual themes one at a time and (eventually) a performance of the whole thing.

Worth all those hours you spent on it …well done Mr Duffy xxx
I enjoyed😊 I would like to hear more from you❤
That's a great performance.
One of the things I like about Eric Bogle, apart from his anti-war songs, is the fact that he wrote tributes to both Stan Rogers and Kate Wolf, two of my favourite artists - although I didn't become aware of them until 2 or 3 decades after their premature deaths.
very good playing guitar beautiful
Thanks for listening.
Superb as always! Absolutely gutted I keep missing these live. A few beers and a bit of this is right up my street.
Thanks! Working on making some shorts now.
Most of us need more than a few.😂
Criminally, criminally underrated. It's entirely my own fault that I miss these live streams, because I forget! But here's an idea, Tony - maybe post some "shorts" of selected highlights? You have to remember that these days the public generally (myself included!) has the attention span of a goldfish with head/memory trauma after a tragic fishy head-first no-helmet motorcycle accident, so if people see a video with a time stamp of 50 seconds they're more likely to initially click on to watch that out of curiosity, rather than a full one which is 50 minutes long. Then maybe a teasing snippet (or 50) of your obvious gifts would entice more people to watch the full videos and subscribe, which would, in turn, make your channel more visible to a wider audience. Sorry. It's only a suggestion. I just find it appalling that someone with so much talent to share has more uploaded videos than subscribers, and I find myself getting aggrieved on your behalf!
Thanks - was thinking along those lines myself. I used to only post individual songs but a few friends who don't use Fb asked if I would put my sessions on You Tube - hence all the livestreams being on here. Thanks again for listening - and for constructive advice - both are appreciated!
greatT
Thanks Dust6y.
love your music, keep going BUDDY.
Thanks so much for listening.
Most enjoyable T never knew that about Clapton either, wow
Hiya
Another fine session Tony .
Excellent Tony.
@@bamsdram Thanks Jim.
Massive song Tony great stuff
Cheers Dusty.
Very nice Tony. You write very good lyric and play great. Blessings from America
Thanks for listening.😁
Actually, I would be very grateful if you would feature this or something else from my caralogue on your channel.
Sold to movies
Love your rendition of Delia. Great stuff.
wheres the goatee
Tony - can feel the emotion. Wonderful fingers
Thanks Jock.
Great stuff.
Thanks Stevie!
You really have a great talent. Greetings from Brazil
Thank you so much for listening and your kind comments. Greetings from Scotland.
How in the name of flying Christ do you only have 126 subscribers? That's just dirty and wrong on so many levels. I feel as though I fell through a black hole 25 years ago and recently emerged into a parallel universe where being utterly shite is rewarded and hard work & talent is socially frowned upon. I'm going to have to make more of an effort to catch these livestreams...
Thanks Ramsey. I know exactly how you feel. I appreciate your comments.
Right. Problems with the lead to start with. A sup of beer, one of the best titles I've heard in a long time, and then he sounds more than a little like Gerry Rafferty. Subscribed!
Thanks for that.
Nice playing 👍
Thank you Simon.
You've been playing a while mon!
Can kinda see what your doing, but please, post some lessons
I'll try to get organised for this - I used to teach English and I have given guitar lessons but I'm a bit rusty. Thanks for listening.
Damn good., from an old guy who's been playing blues for nearly 45 years. You are inspiring.
Thank you sir!
Just get on with it too much talk...
It's a video of a live stream on Facebook and I react to the comments of people who are watching - don't watch if it bothers you.
Apologies for the "work in progress"...
Apology isn't necessary. A thank you for playing. If you hesitate for ever it never comes about.
Hoe are you doing Tony. Good to see you here
I watched the whole set. No man's land was very evocative to those of us who had Grandfather's who fought in WW1. Performed with feeling.
Thanks Tom. It always annoys me to hear politicians who aren't even old enough to remember old money wittering on about the Dunkirk spirit etc!
😊😊
Thanks!
Great set, Tony - although rather more than half-an-hour. Glad to see your hand is restored, hope your back isn't too bad.
Just stumbled across this -- what a find. Cracking work, Tony. Hope your back gets better. Old age don't come by itself, eh? It brings friends...
Thanks Nick. Nice to hear from you. How's everything with you and yours? If you email me at tonyduffy144@hotmail.com, I'll send you a link to my album - self-financed but recorded in a studio. Cheers, Tony
Now that has brought a tear. Remembering those days as a bairn when we were all in the same situation skint but happy. My Father was born in the Happy Lands. Lochgelly Glencraig Crosshill Lochore and Ballingry All hold a Special Place in our memories.
Thanks for that, Pat. An updated version of this song appear on my album, released on July 14th. Other songs about our wee bit of Fife feature on the album - two of them beiung Broad Street and Lassodie. It's on Spotify at open.spotify.com/album/4OSbaxD2tSKYhPloe3lioF or you can buy a CD from me for 10 quid including postage.
Couldn't listen live as we were travelling back from Warwick on Easter Sunday. "Deportee (Plane Wreck at Los Gatos)" is an excellent song (and one of your staples) but, of course, it couldn't happen here. 😀 Are you familiar with the Phil Ochs song, "Another Country"?
Happy New Year from 'Oor Hoose' to yours Tony. All The Best for 2023. We must try to get along to a gig sometime. Cheers! 🍻
Thanks Geoff - same to you and Lesley.
Lochgelly is a toilet
Tony, I subbed to you years ago. Can not remember how this came to be. It might have had something to do with Manny Charlton ....... ??? Manny was a friend of mine. Anyway, I do enjoy listening to your guitar playing
Thanks very much. I only put these live streams on You Tube because one or two peolple - including my wife - can't or won't watch them on facebook. Glad you like my playing. It's a long shot maybe but did you know Nick Harthill?
@@TonyDuffyTbone - I dont think I know Nick Hartbill. Seems like I have heard the name somewhere before. I thought back on how I may have come to sub your channel. I tmight have been because of Linton Osborne. I have not talked with Lintn in a long time.
