    I have a situation that happened during a tournament: Two players go all in on the turn. One shows Ace high flush and the other has also a lower flush, but with a gutshot straight flush draw, no full house or quads possible. Problem is, the dealer fumbles the remaining deck into the muck before he's able to deal the river card. What is floor supposed to do?

    Proper poker etiquette is to keep the burn stack separate from cards that players have folded.

      ace high isn’t possible because there’s no king, queen, or ace on the board

    If I forget if I tipped or not I’ll ask. If the dealer says yes I tip them again. If you gotta ask then you gotta tip again! If they say no I double their tip. And I tell them the second one is for forgetting.

    Would like to add: Rake and Drop are not synonymous. A drop happens when the flop comes regardless of pot size. A rake is taken based on pot size. Drops were made popular in West Coast poker games. And the idea that a drop would be taken regardless of pot size created the "wanna chop the blinds" scenario that people seem to think is an etiquette thing. <3 Love your channel.

    Wish I could deal poker. Learned to deal poker at school and was certified. However, in the AC/Philly market, if you don’t have any experience in the casino industry at all, it is very difficult to get a job dealing poker. Currently a table games dealer 3 1/2 months in.

    Accurate. The amount of times the players would ask if they tipped me and of course I do say "Yes, thank you" when they haven't does make it very awkward. Sometimes another player (usually regulars) would remind them or tell them they didn't

    • @DoubleBassX2
      @DoubleBassX2 Год назад

      Some of my favorite dealers reply, "I'm not sure" in a naturally lighthearted and friendly tone when they know damned good and well the player didn't tip them. By telling them "yes you tipped" you're letting them get away with the whole "it's the thought that counts" thing.

    Poker dealer here. It depends on what season and what kind of room you work in. Most of my income is from tournaments not tips since I deal seasonally during tournament series. For example, during a WPT, about 13% of my income was tips and the other 87% was from tournament downs and base pay.

      Most of the time it's accidental from inexperienced players. But if the guy verbally calls out his raise of $100, pushes in $50 and then goes back for the rest it's not considered string betting.
