Yes they do all are welcome in any D9 organization. It is a black sorority but if they make the process anyone can be in it race be damn, and you not supposed to tell people what you want to be in. It is disrespectful and you can ultimately cost yourself your chance to be an AKA
luverness how is that disrespectful??? , i always wondered that , its one thing to say you want to and anothe rto say you will . now i can understand it being disrespectful if someone says they will . not want to .
You are NOT suppose to even say you want to be in it and yes it is way more disrespectful to say "I Will" or "Future..." but it is still known that you are supposed to keep all that on the hush hush. I always wondered that too but it seem its just one of those things that you don't understand til you're already a Greek I guess. D9 don't discriminate by race!!! So do not continue to think that it does. I have seen white AKAs,Deltas,Zetas,Alphas, and Sigmas and that is just the people who go to or was visiting MY COLLEGE. There are Asian Kappas and Hispanic Iotas too. Just because it is a black organization that does not mean other races can't join and make it. That's like saying there are no black people in white sororities/frats. IF they make it they make it. I hope you get in where you want to though. So good luck with that :-)

well my campus is biased against any Greek Life and refuses to have any. I attend a four yer university and want to become a member or possibly start an off campus chapter for all the African American women that want to be an AKA that are at my school! Do you have any suggestions? Everyone has said that I have to wait to join a graduate chapter but my sisters and I really want to start during our undergraduate years!!! Any suggestions?

That is lovely but discretion is key. If you're in college now,only let the AKAs at your school know your interest and if you're not in college now, it's best to keep your aspirations to yourself until you get there. Also, make sure you've done your research. Nothing worse than someone who wants to join an organization "so bad" but does not know the sorority history or the history of the chapter their looking to join. Wish you the best! :)

Check out Vanderbilt's 2002 Zetas, they did a similar show, same outfits (of course in Blue). This is a good show though. I pledged in 1999, and see every Greek taking everyone stuff. Being a Judge since 2001, its gets boring. I've been stepping since 1987 as a Sigma Beta, and a lot has change for AKAs, hell everybody's Steps. SIGMAS and Omegas are probably the most consistent in Steps.
your a joke. We made up every single step! in 2002 we were in middle school! Ill echo someone from before. Try going to a top 20 university maintaining a chapter GPA of above 3.5. Apply to medical school and law schools and make a show this great! Don't come for Eta Beta! Please ask about us!
I don't think you suppose to say that, but AKA is a great choice for a Greeks sorority. AKA has many 1st, history makers. These sorors are really too pretty.

I got a great laugh from the haters. I'd love to see you prepare this type of quality show while attending a top 20 university and being one of the most exceptional Chapters in the region. I believe Kenya said it best... so Don't come for this Chapter, unless they send for you. And the comment about this being stolen from a SGRho performance from before most of these ladies were even in high school??? GIRLLLLLLL get your entire life.
