Preserving the language of our ancestors: Italy once boasted that more than 600 dialects were spoken throughout its famous twenty regions, on the peninsula, islands and territories. One day the Calabrese dialetto may only be found in the history books. This is how those who came before us spoke.

Preserving our language - The dialect of Calabria (u Calabrisi)

Preserving our Southern Italian language and culture. In some countries they erroneosly refer to Italian red sauce as 'gravy' - but it is actually "Sugo" [pronounced as soo-goh], otherwise known as salsa.

“Diventamu pacci!” - Criticism in the Calabrese dialect gives it more meaning... This ancient dialect partains to the southern Italian region of Calabria. Our aim is to preserve this dwindling language.
