You've probably heard it before, but it's a fact that Tekken has too much depth for someone to adapt to your playstyle and vice versa in only three rounds time; that's what rematches are for. Rematching, especially against someone who is above your skill level is a good opportunity to deepen your game knowledge and grow as a player. But in the end, it's just that: an opportunity. Whether you take it or not is entirely up to you and you alone. There's no such thing as owing in this game. Besides, the current point system in Ranked arguably incentivizes cherry-picking fights if ranking up is your goal more so than improving your skills. A bit of a blunder on the devs' part tbh. But even then, there's no actual rule forbidding this approach, it's just another option. At least you're not plugging on people (I imagine).
I feel like if you can't adapt to someone who is better than you, then that's a me problem. I got to get better. I understand what you mean by deepening your knowledge, but if a guy 3-0's you and you barely even hit him, what is there to learn? I also don't understand plugging. Why do people even do that??? Anyways, I like what you're saying, but there IS such thing as owing. I've seen countless videos of people saying word for word, "If I lose to you in the first 3 round set, you owe me a rematch." What?? It doesn't make sense.
@@MARVØ1-7 Oh I think there are things to learn even in a shambolic 3-0, and the game's replay feature helps greatly with that tbh. What I meant by saying that there is no such thing as owing in Tekken is that you, as a player, who owns your copy of this game (not whoever you're playing against), don't have to subscribe to whatever moral code or obligations your opponent tries to impose on you. That's it. You're free to play along out of courtesy or whatever, but it's never something you *have* to do just because they expect you to.
@@mitsuhaha5574 Maybe the replay system can help, but you also have to know what you're looking for. A lot of people don't know what to look for and take notes. As of owing, I know there isn't a rule or code, and I know I have a choice to not rematch, my point I'm trying to get across is, stop asking for it, stop crying for it. if they give you the rematch, they give you the rematch. Dude, if they don't, to hell with them, and MOVE ON! So when I hear someone say, "this guy better give me a rematch!" dude, don't bet on it. More and more people are not rematching. It's slowly becoming the norm. at least I see more people not rematching.
