Our pleasure!
Hi Parker
Thanks!
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and recipe. ❤
My pleasure! 😊
Oh, these are so cute.
Awww thanks so much!🍉
I just tried making this bar and I must say it looks so neat and mixed together easily too. I can't wait to try it out!!!😍
I love that you made this! ❤️ It lathers up really nicely. Wet your hair and the bar then give a few swipes to your hair and that its. Put the bar down and start washing your hair. The lather it makes is amazing!
I’m new to shampoo bars. Do we need to use a conditioner bar after the shampoo bar?
This bar is semi conditioning on its own and doesn’t weigh down hair. Using a lightweight conditioner after shampooing is never a bad idea. Thick, dry or coarse hair will benefit more from using a conditioning bar than someone with fine thin hair. A conditioning bar full of butters might leave fine hair heavy and looking flat. For this type of hair, an oil free hair mask once a week may be a better option. Happy making!
@@sandravbathandbodyGood to know. Thank you!!!!
This is so incredibly kind of you to share the recipe! Thank you so much! I’m definitely going to make this!
It’s my pleasure to share this recipe. I know you’ll love it. It’s a best seller in my store and if you sell it, I hope your customers love it too.
So just you know the maximum percentage use of SCI is 50%.
Thanks for reaching out. The maximum usage percentage depends on the application. The maximum usage rate of SCI in shampoo bars typically ranges from 40% to 60% of the total formula, depending on the formulation. However, some products may use slightly more or less depending on the other ingredients and desired effects.
"Have someone take you to supper at a Chinese restaurant and ask for a pair of chopsticks..." I'm dead!! 😂🤣 Thanks for all your generous sharing. ❤
I think you’re the first person to get that lol!
I accidentally deleted the Strawberry Sundae video. I think you wanted to make these so I am reposting the video. I’m so sad 😭!!!
@@sandravbathandbodyI've been so busy getting ready for shows I couldn't respond, but don't be sad Sandra! You're so sweet to share. I hate that you have to redo the whole video but it was a really good one and will help your channel so I say go for it when you are able! ;)
Blessings to you with your markets. Sell out of everything!!! You got this!
Oh yuhhh!!!
Can you make a video for making those roses that are on your cupcake bombs? I can never make flowers.
Thanks for the request. I’ll see what we can put together. This is a great video idea!
I’m really excited to try this recipe!
Hope you like it!
Not adding humectants makes soooooo much sense! I gave up on making bath bomb frosting because I could never get it to dry all the way and it was really crumbly. Now I’m thinking it might be because I always used sugar and glycerin in my bath bomb frosting and that was a double whammy. I’m going to try this recipe and if it works in my extremely humid climate, I’ll be bringing back bath bomb frosting. Thanks for the tip!!!
Same here. I gave up too. I’m going to try this recipe and fingers crossed it works for me.
Thank you VERY much for this tutorial. May I ask, how many ounces of final product does one batch of the body butter make?
You’re very welcome. It makes 50 oz plus a little bit. We make 10 each 5 oz jars or 20 each 2.5 oz jars and some left for our sample jar. If you need less or more for your batch, the percentages are in the video description. Happy making!
@@sandravbathandbody Thank you so much for letting me know. I may make this for next Mother’s Day!
Could you converse the formula to percent please so I can make a smaller batch? Or maybe next project. Thank you very much.
I just updated the video description to include percentages. Have fun making this. I would love to know how it turns out for you!
@@sandravbathandbody Thank you very much
This is so incredibly kind of you to share the recipe! Thank you so much! I’m definitely going to make this!
Kindly may I know What pH the shampoo bars came out with? And if I add poly quart 7, wer do I make the change .
The pH of our shampoo bars is around 5 (+/- 0.5). With the recommended usage rate of Polyquaternium 7 being 1-4%, you would need to reduce one or more of the other ingredients by the same percentage that you add Polyquaternium 7. You would include it in the formula at the cool down phase. For example; If you want to use 2% Polyquaternium 7, you would add .6 oz (17 grams) to the cool down phase and reduce the SCI by .42 oz (12 grams) and the CAPB by .18 oz (5 grams). Let me know how it turns out for you. Have fun and be blessed.
Hi Parker!!!
Hi Parker!
Hi Parker
I use this shampoo bar and it’s the best shampoo bar I have ever used! Highly recommend it.
When are you doing the Rose and Collagen video? Will it have a recipe with it? I love anything rose!
We will release the video probably in a couple of weeks. We are still editing it. It will have the recipe and instructions. Thanks for watching and be blessed!
hi Parker
Hi Parker😊
Hi Parker 😂
Thank you for watching!
Hi Parker!
Thanks for watching!
Hello quick question can you use BTMS 25 instead of 50?
Hi Tammy! BTMS-25 contains less active conditioning agents (25% Behentrimonium Methosulfate) than BTMS-50 (50% Behentrimonium Methosulfate) and it also won't emulsify this formulation as well as BTMS-50. In order to keep the potency of the conditioning and emulsifying properties, I would stick with BTMS-50. If you did use BTMS-25 in place of the BTMS-50 you would have to use almost twice as much BTMS-25 to get the conditioning effect then add a co-emulsifier like cetyl alcohol in order for it to emulsify properly. You would also need reduce one or more of the other ingredients in order to keep the formulation at the correct percentages but it may reduce the efficacy of the shampoo bar. I hope this information is useful and if you have any more questions you can always reach me through RUclips or you can email me at sandrav@sandravbathandbody.com and I’ll be happy to help.
This is definitely going to be the next product I make. I love your products so much. Can’t wait for the next video 🥰
I’m sure it will turn out beautifully! Happy making!
How many shampoo bars does this make?
This recipe will make 9 shampoo bars. This was a good question. I should have included this information in the video.
I’ll try this recipe but every body butter I’ve tried to make comes out really greasy.
This recipe is not greasy mainly because it is an emulsified body butter. Plus the arrowroot and isopropyl myristate help cut the greasy feeling. Let me know how it comes out for you!
I made this shampoo bar and it’s the first one I made that didn’t fall apart! Thanks for sharing.
You’re very welcome. Great job!
I liked the extra info you added about the ingredients. Could you make a video about how to make sugar scrubs? Thanks for sharing!
Sure thing! I’d be happy to share a sugar scrub recipe.
Hi Sandra, really appreciate your response and all the helpful advice. Will let you know how it goes. Look forward to more videos from you.. everything is so well explained.
Thank you for sharing this video. It is really helpful for a first time solid shampoo bar makers like me:) May I ask, if I were to add a tiny bit of clay or spirulina or a hair friendly powdered herb, at what point would I add it and how much. Thanks for any help with this😇
Hi Diana. For this particular recipe I would add between 3 & 5% clay or 1 to 2% spirulina or herb. You would need to reduce the SCI by the same percentage that you are adding the other ingredient. For example; if you add 4% rose clay, you would reduce the SCI by 4%. I would add the powdered ingredients when the liquid ingredients are added. Spirulina has a tendency to smell a bit fishy at times but at such a low percentage I don’t believe it would change the scent of the shampoo bars. I hope this helps and I would love to know how they turn out for you!
This was an amazing thing to try at home. It worked like a charm. I can’t wait for more videos 🩵
Glad you liked it!!
I buy this one from you but i break it in half. They are kind of big so i get 2 baths out of them. I’ve actually watched you make them in your store.😅
You’ll have to show me how you break them. I tried one time and I couldn’t do it.
Thanks for the tip on increasing the polysorbate. I live in a high humidity area and I will try this.
Let me know if it helps! Thanks for watching.
So satisfying 😍
Glad you think so!
Omg these are so adorable. Tried to buy online but you were sold out 😢
Thanks for watching! We're sorry we don't have them in stock but they are popular in the store. We're making more and will have them back in stock soon!
So cool!!
Thanks!
