I admire the electrician for sticking to what he knows
Honestly its wierd cuz ive been painting professionally for 15 years and have painted plenty of vinyl siding... Never had any warping issues EVER.. The drywall screws made it look ALOT WORSE forsure.. i always use an adhesion primer tho because in the beginning i didnt use tbe primer and after a few years, There was some bubbling issues in a few areas on one wall...
WHEN YOU ORDER PAINT IF THE SALES PERSON KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THEY WILL ASK YOU IF YOUR USING IT ON VINYL. THAT WAY THEY MIX IT ACCORDINGLY. DARK TINT WILL WARP VINYL. THIS GUY HAS NO CLUE !
lol bro you don’t know.
Like seriously is anyone actually educated these days. There are SO many hacks out there.
Right, how can you be sure who messed up here.?
Being a proper craftsman is being able to fix your feckups it happens
this is a new house? who builds new homes with cheap ass siding like that? maybe it is differant wherever this house is but around here noone puts siding like that on houses, it looks cheap as fuck.
To each there own
Still a fail.
Why didn’t the framers just build out flush to the concrete?
Comes down to everything being plumb and inside the asked measurments every thing needs to be in whether is inches or feet
Wait , why not cut off the excess down to ground level?
When you buy a new house, you expect a new house
It’s only warping where you ran screws in it
Well its code, so thats why.
Can’t go darker than the original vinyl
Okay
Painting vinyl is fine but you can't go darker than the color of the original vinyl siding color
I would think it should be at the top, assuming that's where the power comes in to begin with. But I also ain't no electrician 😂
Nope, it detects the surge before it hits the breakers and diverts the surge into the ground before hitting the rest of the panel.
Main breaker is at the bottom so power is coming from bottom
Thats perfect. I'll just add some large MOV's to the legs as they come in. That way, i have the same surge protection as a power strip
It’s code now in 2020 nec
Whoever painted it was clueless of what to use
I’m very new to painting and I’ve only done like 2 houses and 3 rv mobile homes. My dad works for a professional company and he told me it needs a special primer first then you put a certain type of color because you can’t go to dark, he said it does this like if you put fire close to plastic but I’m not sure he knew about the sun being the reason making it mess up like that. Forsure alot more to painting than just getting the paint on there, learn that on my first job when I painted a door and it started peeling up in layers, like two three paint jobs before.
The purpose of the expansion tank is to allow the water in the system a place to expand to as it's heated. Only required on "closed" systems, meaning there is a pressure reducing valve or some other kind of check valve on the water main. In an "open" system the water can just expand back through the water meter.
That should be strapped to the water heater if it's gonna be hung that way.
WRONG!! FIRE HAZARD!!! from an Electrician 😮
Fascinating
after a ruined floor I finally decided to try and ✅ youtube for a fix
Is that a shed?
You only have leaks for 2 reasons....1 the roof wasn't shingle right or 2 its old and needs replacing....actually..both...will require a new roof....
If you can’t fix that lil hole your man card has been revoked!
Paper and mud fill the hole
Hello and greetings, from one Marylander to another! How are you doing? I do not know how long you have been inspecting, but you might have inspected some of the houses i have helped build around the Anne Arundel County area over the last 30 years.
Hope it wasn't on while you were up there, you may not of made it out😮. I know some inspectors that wear a clip on carbon monoxide detector for that very reason
not gonna mention the crispy board? I think that's the bigger problem
Why would they put a light bulb facing a wooden step?
So this is what I did I painted vinyl siding my vinyl siding but I painted it with a light light gray so I think that the darker color will absorb the heat more and that’s when it wrinkles up. Also, I used one of the best paint flat paint from Sherwin-Williams.
Did they make it vinyl safe? They have a special process to make the paint safe for outside vinyl.
You absolutely can and save a ton of money in the process. Use vinyl safe paint with no black in it you'll be golden.
punctuation dude
Woahhhh
How did the pass code?
And that's why there are codes and licenses.
I love carbon monoxide...
I don't get it
what happens when wood gets too hot? in expands but when it gets too hot for a long time? that´s right, you get a house fire.
Also you can duct tape a sink drain to stop leaks and add extra stability
