UPS owners treat their employees like crap!

Hi, I have moderate scoliosis and many days back pain. Some days are worse than others. Are there ways to work around doing massage therapy to avoid getting body aches and especially back pain? Any advice is appreciated.

All due respect, but if the first thing you do as an owner is sit down, you aren't doing your job correctly. Hire good management and focus on strong relationships with your team and who you're deal with. I've worked for the UPS Store for over a year and a half. I come to work with a solid gold attitude, a open heart and an open mind for whatever today brings. I can assure you that I will give my absolute best at all times, and try to make your experience in our store as enjoyable as possible. While it is currently Christmas season, which is our busiest time of year, what gets my through every day is the interactions I have with people everyday. I can help people save money, time and send whatever they need to wherever they want in less than five minutes, but it's the interactions I have with people that give my work purpose. As you may already know from reading previous reviews of our store, I go out of my way to make sure that everyone is recognized, understood and taken care of like I would my own best friend or grandmother. It drives me crazy when I go somewhere to shop or ask questions about services and either nobody is available or all of the the available people are congregating together away from patrons and people who just want help. I also work with some fine people and can actually say that my boss is my friend. Listen, retail is hard. Shipping and Receiving is hard. Combine the two with customer service and you got a job most people wouldn't want to do. We have almost a thousand mailboxes and have to deal with each and every mailbox holder. We deal with entitled jerks on a daily basis and quite often we deal with people who don't understand how much goes into our work and the business behind it: I deal with every single shipping company in America or available to America and handle shipments on a regular basis. The basis being that I need to understand my job of understanding shipping labels and doing my absolute best to make sure every parcel and package is delivered or shipped to the correct person. This job requires rapid understanding of multiple applications, addresses, geography, customer service, sub windows systems, detective work, interpersonal skills, sales, measurements and many other factors which may be experienced. We deal with every shipping company under the sun and we all bust our butts to make sure that what needs to go some place gets there when it's supposed to be there. And you know what? That's that... That's the job... That's what it is.... Thank you for your listening...

ups store is a scam, if you ask them to print something for you, they’ll tell you to use computer to print then charge you $5 for using computer. so for one page black and white document you have to pay more than $5. they don’t inform you that they’ll charge you $5 for clicking the print button on the computer until you’re about to pay for that one piece of paper which is not even in color. also size of document text is reduced so you can not read any thing without using a magnifying glass. they’re also trying to save their black ink. they don’t have color ink in the printer. so basically charging you more than $5 for piece of crap. what a rip off.

I’m interested in Pilates teacher training I recently discovered Pilates and the benefits for the body’s functional movement. I’ve always been into fitness I’m licensed to teach a Zumba toning class which I love. However have lots of joint issues and doing PT for 6 months to help me with hip knee and joint issues my physical therapist and I spoke about it and she highly recommended me to it. I found a studio near me and I’ve fallen in love with Pilates. I know it’s something that I would love to do especially as we get older we must understand our bodies and strengthen our body and improve balance for every day function

Lemme shorten the entire video for ya bro. You bought into anUPS store franchise because you wanted to be your own boss and the thought of having to throw down with the daily grind like the rest of us is far beneath you. However you severely underestimated the company’s greed and god only knows why, you agreed to the ridiculous terms and figures (the company’s cut) that UPS corporate imposed onto its franchisees. So now in addition to being an unnecessary middle man who’s survival depends on enough traffic coming through the front door but also selling unneeded (usually) packing supplies at an extreme markup. Often times employing deceptive tactics like scaring customers into thinking their packages are in danger of being mishandled because they used their own boxes instead of your overpriced cardboard and threatening them that the shipment won’t be insured unless they fork over the cash for the above mentioned. SO now you’re struggling to hit that $350k/yr income for your store just so you can walk away with a measly $35k or so for your own pocket. This is why I use the U.S. post office and find the UPS store to be a fucking lulfest of a business (if you can call it that). No games, no bullshit at the post office. Just a simple “here’s my package”, receipt and g’day.

Hopefully u can answer this question but how much does a massage therapist make a year works at independent spas and chain spas like massage envy? I ask cuz I don’t want to have my business at this time in it and I’m wondering if I make enough money without getting a second job. Even general estimates would be helpful. I live in md so I know it varies.
