The problem with teacher CW is that he has no idea that the Mosaic law was in place when Jesus was teaching that portion of scripture but after Jesus died on the cross, we were set free from the curse of the law. This is very clear in the early church we don't see Paul , Peter or any apostle collecting or advocating for Tithe. Our giving is based on 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

How comes the pastor doesn't know that salvation only comes from the name JESUS and not Jehovah. For there's no other name by which man is saved besides JESUS. Jesus told us the name is not Jehovah but JESUS. Our Lord is JESUS.

It's shocking how pastors intentionally hide the truth of tithing for the obvious reasons, for you the gullible members are their cash cows. Matthew 23:23 Jesus is addressing the Scribes, the Pharisees and Israel at large under the law and not the church under Grace. John CW, why expose your shallow and narrow scripture grip on public? Abraham did a tithe, yes, it's true, but do you mind telling us what kind of a tithe did he practice for there are four types of tithing you people don't want to tell the church, for you know that by mentioning the four and their purposes will automatically expose all tithe preachers as thieves and against the finished works of the cross of Christ, you know that right? Tithing was the law in the Old Testament, and if we must follow that law, then we must follow all the other 613 Mosaic laws, for a violation of one is a violation of all. Furthermore, if you can follow all the 613 Mosaic Laws perfectly, then you don't need Jesus Christ and His Salvation for you're already justified by your perfect law adherence. You don't need GRACE for the LAW has justified you already. So as to avoid covenant prostitution, stick to the LAW or GRACE. It's shocking how a pastor can quote Matthew 23:23 for tithe defense. Wait, look at the opening statement from the lips of Jesus, He says 'WOE UNTO YOU'. Basically Jesus is condemning the law practitioners for failure to fully follow the law to the latter, Jesus is simply debunking and destroying the useless self legalism and rotten human righteousness in the law. In fact Jesus is discouraging tithing for it is the law and the law profited nothing after Grace. Let me challenge John CW, if Christ taught us to tithe, my question is, why are you violating the greatest law of Sabbath that's on Saturday and not Sunday? Why are you not observing nor keeping the Sabbath holy for it is the greater law by far than tithing? Anyone tithing is directly insulting and and trampling on the blood of Jesus Christ and Salvation therein. You'd rathe give cheerfully than tithe.
