It’s good to compare different eras sometimes because if shacari and lyles were in Bolt and Shelly’s era then they would not win a single race 8 out of ten times because they are always coming from behind. And when Shelly get that start in her prime then no one could catch her and we all know you ain’t coming from behind to catch bolt. Well that happened once in 2007! Tyson Gaye of course and then Bolt ran 10 years straight without loosing a gold medal in both 100 and 200m and that’s why he is the greatest, not necessarily the world records. With that said both Shacari and Lyles are good athletes and always keeps other athletes on their toes and also force them to run through the line. If lyles were in bolts era then maybe that record would be like 8. Something as Bolt would not have time to stop and beat his chest etc as Noah would always be closing like a runaway train.

The pros have their millions $ contracts already and in their absence the youth can get recognition, earn those diamond league thousands, show their talent to get offered contracts. Yes, there is enough $$$ to share and spread around.

I'll agree with you here. Kishane has the potential to be the current best in the world (not the best ever like you think 🤣🤣). His injuries over the years have held him back. Just hope for the best for him because I want him to be the best.

I'm getting the impression many Jamaicans like yourself see these athletes in a completely unrealistic light. Why is it so normal for Americans to accept their athletes need to rest their bodies but Jamaicans believe their athletes should be like the enegizer bunny or something is wrong with them? Jamaican athletes need to start listening to their bodies and not those who want to run them into the ground for their own personal entertainment. Kishane never hid his body situation. It's either we accept it until he figures out the cause and fix it or find someone else to race into the ground.
