Turnip cake is one of my favorite dim sum. It is pretty easy to make and you can also work with kids as a fun project. Ingredients: Rice flour: 230g Water: 500g Salt: 4g Ground pork: 0.5 lbs. Garlic: a few White pepper: 2g Soy sauce: some Fried shallots: some White radish: 1 lbs.

I really enjoy the taste of this steam bun. It’s crispy outside but juicy inside. Adding the sweet & salty soy sauce really makes it mouth watering.

Fixing up water heater belt

Originally the contractor did not follow the code to use bolts for water heater’s belt. They just use the regular dry wall screw which may get broken when earthquakes occur. Removing them and replace with 1/4” x 3” long bolts(min. requirements) and make sure they all stick to the stud.
Fixing up leaking sprinkler valve

My old valve has leaking and not only it caused the water pressure low so sprinkler does not work but also wasted water. By replacing a new valve, it simply resolve the issue.

Some yellow jackets made a nest under the eave(2018 Fall). I just went to Home Depot and bought a can of spray(can't remember the brand) and kill them. A little bit scared in case they fought back so I put on the funny suit to protect myself.
Vinyl plank installation

I spent a weekend installing vinyl plank in the sun room because previous floor was damaged by rain due to the leaking wall. Leaking was fixed and now the whole original laminate floor needs to be completely replace. This time I chose vinyl plank because it is not only waterproof but also cheaper($1.49 per sq ft.
