This is what it looks like training close to failure on a leg extension machine. Making your training effective requires you to manage the volume dose of your training. This is not the volume of your warmup sets or build up sets. It is the sets that you are training close to failure, not necessarily to failure. However in a beginner trainee it is important to train to absolute muscular failure otherwise it is very difficult to understand what true failure feels like. A couple of disclaimers here. Training to true muscular failure is limited mostly to isolation exercises or exercises which you can bail out of safely. And most importantly you are limiting yourself to technical failure where you are not breaking your lifting form.

Safety is #1. I'm not an expert, but there is so much I see wrong with that spotting. First off with that much weight, no way the spotter is going to be able to catch it. You have to have some pins, or someone on each side to catch the weight. If you cant have those you need to learn to bailout and no spotter there to help force a rep. The spotter blocks the ability to bailout.

What a comprehensive analysis 👍 People should not be dying at the gym. It's a place to get stronger and healthier. Videos like these and of people dropping from heart attacks scare beginners. According to me, as a regular gym goer, you should not be testing your 1RM. It serves no benefit to hypertrophy or endurance. It's better to get fewer likes on social media than becoming viral in a gym fail compilation.

I do need a bit of help. As the video suggests, the ‘Impakto’ shoes have slight cushioning, and the ‘Andune’ shoes are almost true to the feet. I need your opinion on this transition: should I start with Impakto for gym shoes and for everyday home wear and later switch to Andune after considerable usage? They dropship this shoes from china for 300 to 700 a pair and give them some stupid andune name and put a stamp on a shoe sell them as barefoot andune shit .so sad at first I was liking because they were 1200 pair all models now they fucking around fooling the people earning 5x more margin so sad to see this as a lawyer people do this to other people for earning profit ...
