Just Beautiful. The quality of the film actually lends to the 'dreamy distant' feeling to the parade. I can't believe how wonderful the parades were...back then. The entire community IN the parade. Who knew that many people knew how to strut! The children in this film are priceless to see strutting. Just precious. All of you reading this: I live in Cincinnati, loved the Mummers in the Macy's Parade and loved them instantly. I don't care for the new style Mummers....they're entirely different now

My grandfather was in the string band of this parade, god bless him, and all mummers, may the tradition last forever!

@Trailerparkofthedead I think some of the video is taken looking at the Fidelity bank building at Broad and Castle Ave.

I have other 8mm films but I don't want to send them away to be professionally transferred only because they may get lost in the mail or at the lab. If anyone knows of a place in the Philadelphia, PA area that will do same day transfers, I'd be appreciative if you'd let me know. Thanks!
