These pups are awesome...
We start by tying them with their heads up before we start teaching them to brace, usually probably start about a month after they get put in show pen. Try to practice everyday but that usually equates to 3-4 times a week with boys schedule, they take turns while one is setting one up the other walks. We do it 3-5 times so close to 30 minutes. If wear getting ready for a major longer then that because may take longer then that to judge a class there.
This really helps! When we first get our goats from the breeder, do we start training to brace right away? Or within a couple weeks? How often is good to work on bracing? How long each time? How long do we want to get them to be able to hold that pose for by the time show rolls around? What is a typical day or week for yall when starting with the goats in the beginning compared to at the end before show? Sorry for all the questions. Just want to learn and see what works for us. Thanks!!
Nice
Lovely calm pup with nice heading and break and looks strong.
Love the way they move to block the head and then hold their position without running in! Looks like you've got some nice working dogs there mate!
I laughed just when you did when the kid tried to butt her!
