I had no idea. I got burned out on rock at 15 and quit cold turkey. For the next ten years, I was mainlining classical music. I completely missed the whole emergence of electronic music. To me, it was a natural progression from classical to EM. But I started with GOA and went backward. I mean sure I was listening to "commercial" EM occasionally like TD and Kraftwerk. But this JMJ guy? Never gave him a chance. After hearing this fellow covering JMJ, I have to go back to the beginning and listen to everything in order.

My mom randomly gave me a gift of this album on cassette tape in the very early 80’s when I was about 15. I was smitten by this music and listened to the album I’m sure at least a thousand times! I know this music WELL. And I can say, your performance of it here is brilliant! While I can detect differences, I think you captured the essence and feel of the original sound really well. Discovering this on RUclips has been a second gift for me, 45 years later. Thank you for that!

Wow. I am blown away, and also skeptical that all this is programed for a live performance in one synth. I am sure the skepticism arises from my own ignorance. I have done two Jarre tribute shows, the first all of Oxygene rearranged for an electric violinist. I had five synths and was running Cubase. The second all of Oxygene 1-13 + Bells, Gagarin and Aero. I had a second keyboard player with 19 synths between us and we couldn't get close to the quality you are doing here.

Phantastisch und mir war klar nur jemand der jahrelang mit Jean Michel Jarre gearbeitet hat kann das so spielen trotzdem wenn man sieht wie die Zeit sich verändert und man braucht heute nur eine Maschine dazu um es Perfekt zu spielen toll Dankeschön für ihre super interessante Interpretation Jarre ist bestimmt stolz darauf solche Musiker um sich zu haben Mit freundlichen Grüßen R.T.L.
