    Thanks for sharing your experience, and thank you for being candid. I’m in the middle of deciding whether I should go to Sweden or any of the Nordic countries for a master’s degree, so this is helpful. Btw, I’m planning to continue running my freelance writing business to support myself, do you think that could be a problem in Sweden or the Netherlands?

    Outside looking in, I sense a bit of entitlement here. Sorry but not sorry. You are in a different country, there are rules in place so you have to follow them. Not sure how not having a train ticket should allow you to get on a train. How’s that fair for everyone else that has goes on with a bus ticket? Who cares, it’s how I feel. And definitely not a reason not to live in Sweden. That is for every country. I’m from Canada.

    How can strict alcohol policy have anything bad to it? Let’s be real if you feel that you need to buy alcohol at 23, you probably don’t need it. You only think you do. Same with food, you don’t eat at that hour if you want to be healthy, you only eat because you want whatever you eating. Your only point was “can’t drink outside” “it was only 4%”. You know when you take driver license, there’s a common question many answer wrong: How much can you drink before driving. A) 1 glass B) 3 Glass C) 1 bottle Answer: I should never drink, when I am driving. If the law is don’t drink outside in the open. Also on subways they’ve their own rules about food and drinks on board. Don’t do it and if you do it, don’t complain with a passive aggressive comment. About racism, sadly it’s true. Not Asians as I know, but dark skinned 100%. Friend who’s a door guard, his boss who’s from china and a female funny enough, said “no black people allowed” to him. He tried, but sometimes he let some in, cuz they were nice guys. Why reject them. The boss came to him and said “there’s too many black people inside the club”. So racism exist, yes. In club culture at least.

    Sweden is the least racist country in the world. Your issues have nothing to do with racism. If you dont have a ticket for the train of course they wont let you on. Sweden is notorious for being really strict with entrance to clubs. Growing up in Stockholm as a swede it was a constant problem for me to get in to clubs. Face control. The guards might not like the way you dress etc.

    The whole train ticket thing and the club thing is actually something that happens to people of many different backgrounds. My Swedish friends got rejected at a random bar even though they were near sober and dressed decently. Guards and bouncers are assholes in sweden and they are often on a power trip to throw you out for no reason. My Swedish friend got thrown out of the club for being ugly (I'm not kidding, those are the words they used). If you are a student going to Sweden I recommend going out in uppsala or Lund where they have a lot of student fraternities and such where people show a decent amount of respect

    I'm sorry but you can't just label a country racist because you didn't get what you want. That's so silly. Clubs are notorious for choosing clientele based on whatever the heck they want. Its a "club". Literally in Japan, Korea, China etc. they ban white people from loads of bars and clubs. That's not racism. And why you feel entitled to get on the train is beyond me. I'm sorry you were taught you're entitled things and that you don't get them because of your race. It seems to me the people that tend to assume people are racist tend to see race more than anyone. Otherwise nice video!

Making yourself a victim when you are not a victim shows how complacent you are. How you can only think of yourself and put yourself above everyone else. Real racism is when someone is derogatory because of skin color and/or religion which neither of them was. where was the hate? there was no hateful word either, inventing is also a way of performing ruling techniques for those who have to create hatred themselves against those who don't keep doing what they want. look at them they are like this and they behave like this towards me to mamupulate their surroundings to look away from what has happened/facts and instead just hate them to get their way

There are very few sole racists who just hate a race for the sake of it. And at the end of the day it doesn't matter why somebody hates you. Thats their problem, all you have to know is they aren't treating you well and deal with it. As you say not blaming factors you cant control and then playing the victim card. Hey, I hope you take a moment to read this and reflect upon my words. These are from a place with the best of intentions in mind. Im about a decade older than you, and I know you're of an age where the rest of us seem a bit... retarded to your generations viewpoint and experiances, at least that was how it felt for me about your age. Now I want to share a perspective with you that i hope you might find helpful in your life, I dont mean to sound condescending or dismissive of your experiances. From the way you have described your negative experiances it does not seem to be a case of racism for me, but I was not there. But I want to warn you to see the unseen enemy(of racism, sexism, etc) everywhere. You may attritbute encounters, setbacks or critism to these unseen enemies. This time is was a club, what if it is a job interview? Its easy, and convenient to blame one of these unseen enemies, but detremental to your growth. "Ah nothing I could had done different would change the situation, its not me who is an issue, its them". You will not self reflect upon these moments.. Before you know it, it can become a lazy excuse of habit. As you've seen many comments from other swedes have now said these experiances are quite common. The club experiance is well known and especially for young people like you, it happened to me and my friends all the time. A simple reason is that young people dont spend a lot of money, because they have none. So on a payday when everyone is out, is customers or limited capacity the issue? There are safety regulations for each venue of how many people they can host... And when customers are plenty, they can be choosy. The idea I wanted to convey is complex and probably something one would requires a lot of talk to go through.. But im sure if you think about it with an open mind you can see the point im trying to make. It is something that has helped me quite a bit and I hope it can help you in the long term. I've tried to get my points across without sounding rude. Again this is from a place of best intentions. I hope you ponder upon it.

    I don't know why there's so much hate toward your video for expressing your experience living in Sweden. Swedish folks are often reserve when they're in their country. How did I know this? A few months ago, a guy went around interviewing a bunch of folks from Sweden who were vacationing in Thailand. ALL of them said people in their country are mostly reserved and may even be rude, so it's difficult for foreigners to make friends there. The interviewer then asked these Swedish vacationers why they're currently so friendly. ALL of them said it's because they're on vacation and away from the norms of their country. I guess your haters just don't want to accept reality of the norms in Sweden.

    • @Mas-ij3ti
      @Mas-ij3ti Месяц назад

      Its not really just a norm, its how Swedish people generally want to be. I am from Sweden and i am pretty reserved like most are to strangers, i dont have time or a want to care or interact with people i dont know. I work as a scientist and i have been to over 53 countries and honestly very many countries i have been to are like this. When i was in Japan, South Korea, China, Poland, Indonesia, India, Saudi Arabia, Germany etc people would not just randomly start talking to people they did not know. That is what weirdos do. As for the racism, i dont doubt it. Racism is everywhere. Personally have never experienced racism as much as i did in South Korea and Indonesia. In South Korea many seemed to hate anyone who was not Korean. In Indonesia it seemed they hated other Asians. Would rather live in hell than those 2 countries. However China and Japan i had no bad experiences in, but im guessing it might be different for different people.

I've lived in Norrköping for 9 years, it was 9 years wasted really. Moved back to my home town Söderköping back in 2012 because I wanted peace and quiet. And considering the riots and all the nasty folks that have moved to Norrköping it was surely at the right time. Reason I moved to Norrköping in the first place was because I was moving out of my parents and there simply wasn't anything affordable in my home town. During weekends most Swedes spend time with their families rather than going out on town, so ofc there aren't as many peeps out during a sunday.

    Ah yes I bet the cities there are quite charming. $600 euros??? Thats unheard of. I pay $1700. Wow they make it easy to work there nice. Wow the comments are kind of nuts even if they are teenagers. Oh wow that train conductor that is on another level. 23-24 that is crazy. Yes I can understand the darkness. I lived in Seattle and it is like that there too, very hard to deal. LOL and the original people that founded the PNW were Swedes and the locals are known for being hard to get to know, they call it the Seattle Freeze. Though you could buy wine the super market. But not in NY you have to buy it in a liquor store. Bland food is not fun. Great discussion girlie! 🥰👍

      My small condo of 38sqm is 260 bucks a month 🙂👍 In Sweden Liqueur is bought at Systembolaget which is a state monopoly store which is available in every city and small town. And it has limited open hours and due to alcohol tax the prices are slightly higher than double that of the prices in the US(from my experience). But hey! They do have a great sortment atleast 😛

      I mean imagine being a train conductor, making a shit wage and having drunk fucks at 3am entering your train without a ticket every night. I would probably get annoyed doing that every day as well. Bouncers are known to be jerks, think 90% of bouncers i have met are not very kind and i have been to over 53 countries.
