I froze my Motion Computing R12 rugged tablet
During last year's Polar Vortex I froze a Motion Compting F5. During this year's freezing weather, I took my R12 (the one I use every day to run my business) out to the backyard and squirted it with a hose until it was covered in ice. The tablet didn't care. It ran like a champ!

Kevin, they are not submersible. They are IP 54 rated (can stand water spray and dust). The cost is between $2,500 and $3,500 and you can see different configurations on our website at www.alltp.com. Also, we have a demo program if you want to test one.

But I need to know if it can be configured in a manner that the Panasonic ToughPad can NOT. 1. at least one old serial port 2. at least two USB3 3. 500MBSSD or better 4 Win7 Pro PC OS 5 4GLTE 6.a fast processor. if quad-core, has to be a reasonably fast one 7.everything else I have not considered already

I'm thinking about buying one of these tablets to just use for programming. If I max it out with ram and core 2 duo cpu, do you think this would be a capable tablet in today's age?
The fan is external and can be removed so the device is truly moisture proof. It carried and IP54 rating.
@cliffallen3 Glad you liked the video. Honestly, I hadn't even done this on my own tablet until I made the video! The handwriting recognition is so good out of the box that I haven't had any problems. I am also interested in seeing whether any of the non-Windows tablets will really incorporate quality handwriting recognition.
@aim2free - You cannot install 8Gb, 4Gb is the max. Also, you can't purchase it without Windows but you could install Linux on your own. I have had a few customers that have done this.
You mentioned that no moisture can get inside it? It has a fan right? So surely moisture can easily get in there. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on this.
