When hearing this song I've always imagined two ballerinas competing against each other. Delilah, the more modest and shy of the two, is the first to notice Sabina, with whom she was friends as a young child. She wants to talk to Sabina and rekindle their friendship, but is too scared of coming off as weird or obsessed, so when they finally get the chance to talk, Delilah is excited. But Sabina is not the kind, funny girl she used to be: she is rude, vain and has set her eyes solely on the competition. This causes them to be bitter towards each other and each makes it their personal duty to triumph over the other. But Sabina is secretly jealous of Delilah's elegance, and Delilah is jealous of Sabina's beauty. But is it just jealousy, or something more? Delilah catches herself complimenting Sabina and swooning over her beauty at the most inappropriate times. "That Sabina thinks she's so much better than me. Delilah is called onto the stage first. Her dancing is so unlike her. Her moves are choppy and she stumbles a lot. Sabina knows how elegant and beautiful Delilah usually dances, so why is she suddenly like this? Sabina gets called on next and tries to dance as well as she can, worrying it isn't good enough. Sure enough, Sabina wins the competition. She grabs Delilah in a sweet embrace on the stage and whispers into her ear. "You let me win. Why?" And Delilah says: "Because I figured that my dreams are no more important than your reality. Winning this thing means more to you than to me. And you mean more to me than the Swan's Tiara." Sabina: "But you've wanted the Swan's Tiara your whole life, it's all you ever talked about!" Delilah: "I found something better, Sabina. I found you." Don't steal any of this, guys. I might make it into a book.
