Just a guy with a GRC CIRCUIT EDITION uploads how to vids and maybe more content not really sure what this channel will become
How to add a Dashcam on your GR COROLLA CIRCUIT EDITION Front to back in-depth how to.
I upgraded my dashcam and rear camera on my Gr Corolla in this video, and it's more in-depth and how-to video. NO SPECIAL tools required just a panel tool. I know I've mentioned it before and now I've done a step by step.
I'm finally back and driving my GR corolla, I've missed this beast and glad to be back on the road, I took a break from uploading but I'll be sure to keep uploading more content related to daily GR Corolla experience as it's my daily driver.
If yall got questions or ideas lmk , and hit that like and subscribe, maybe I'll make more videos on your questions and ideas. Stay tuned.

Gr Corolla Circuit Edition Transmission Fluid Change (Transfer case/Rear Differential) How To
Hope you guys enjoy and hopefully I help some of yall out there who own GRCs .
How did you run the wire from the trunk to the front
@dannyd7714 on the top sides of the A,B,C pillars and tucked under the top panel, and on the back of the door. There is a spot where you can pull the cord through and fits in the factory wiring , you can easily pop the covers with a panel tool . They clip on and off but don't put excessive force to pray the covers off , for the extra Ft of wire , zip lock it in a bundle thinly and you can put the excess wires away.
@dannyd7714 you can see in the video where I tucked the wiring in the back hatch door, and I ran it under the headliner , and through the top sides of the passenger side frame
How much did the transmission fluid cost? My dealer is quoting me nearly $250 tax included
Dude I payed maybe 120 it's about 60 per tin and I found folks on ebay , I've done it twice now and I usually get hooked up
Can you make a full video of installation on a 2024 Honda Civic Si
If I had access to one i would but i will say it's very much the same concept , and ive done this exact same mod to my 2008 subaru impreza hatchback Be sure to check if the Horns youre going to add are the same voltage though... might have to add a fuse to it.
.48 for transfer case .5 for differential Experts say over fill a bit. So do you think a whole quart?
You can slightly over flow it ,but it took me 1 quart to fill both front and transfer case , as you fill it it will hit about .48 and begin to over flow
The bolt up top on the front diff is the 10mm NOT the 23mm - that's the breather.
My GR is about to hit 10k miles. Just about to change all the diff and trans fluids. Can’t thank you enough!
reminder: do not unbolt ~20mm the top bolt on the passenger side forget the size, that's not the fill plug. both drain and fill are the same size. (driver side orientation + front of transfer case)
so did he do it right in the video ?
@@sudo624 no. lol. it’s the bolt on top. @4:00 he loosened the breather valve. also, always loosen the fill plug first. you don’t want to drain and go to check your fill is seized.
What did you do with all the silicone grease that was packed into the swan lake pump?
I had sprayed a thin amount of break cleaner on the blue shop towels and gave a little wipe down
2:07 The transmission drain bolt is 22 mm, not 23, I believe. 2:13 You state that the transfer case fill plug is 23 mm Hex bolt. I don't think that's correct. It should be the same 10 mm Allen as the drain plug.
The drain bolt for the transfer case is a 10 hex and the fill is a 23 (for the transfer case) same for rear differential plugs. So yeah you correct. For the transmission, the drain Bolt is 23mm, and the fill is 22 mm 👍🏼 (transmission) Unless the core is different from the circuit edition, which I doubt . I had to use a 23mm on the drain plug
@GRCircuitsally Did you fill the transfer case after removing the hex bolt from the passenger side of the transfer case? How much gear oil did it take using that hole? Is it leaking at all since you did the service?
After I removed the 10 hex from the bottom to drain it , put the bolt back in and removed the fill plug from the passenger side , 22mm or 23 I forget And it only took about .5 or just about half a quart of fluid once it started coming out the top And no, unless you forget to really snug it down or torque to spec , remember to get new crusher washer and torque to spec
Okay I’m very confused. The rear diff and front transfer have 2 10mm Allen plugs where are you getting this 22,23 fill plug from?
@@minimumwrist3546That's what I was trying to tell him, but he filled it at the 24 mm hex, & it doesn't seem to be causing him any issues.
Hello! Thanks for the video. I didn't see where you needed heat gun or a lighter and weather proof heat shrink. Did you use these things?
Yeah i did. I used it for the ground wire connection to the body. So I crimped the connection and then heat shrink down so it wouldn't get eroded or disconnected easily
Thanks!
"Promosm"
where did u get the oil??? I cant find it anywhere
I bought my oil straight from the Toyota dealer , and I've also searched Ebay motors. You'll find some oils on sale on the app.
I own a 10th Gen 2009 Corolla S 5MT, 11th Gen 2017 Corolla iM 6MT, and 2023 GR Corolla 6MT and they all use the same transmission gear oil. I found the Red Line MT-LV 70w/75w to be better than the OEM gear oil as have most other people and I highly recommend using it. I also bought the proper Red Line oils for the diffs too.
Thanks for the insight, I'll have to check that out next time I change my fluids , if of really feels better I'll think I'll stick with it and make an update video on that 💪
@@GRCircuitsally I love Redline gear oil and use it on all 5 of my manual transmission cars, it's great stuff. I've come to find out that most manual transmission owners use it too.
"2023 GR Corolla 6 MT" it only comes in manual, no need to show boat
@@smitdizz420 You and I may know that it only comes with a manual but many people don't. I get asked all the time if it also comes with an automatic. I wasn't trying to show boat in any way, I was trying to just give the proper information up front for those that didn't know.
I appreciate all the info…I got 5600 miles on my Corolla GR Core. I did so far break in oil change at 1100 miles and second oil change at 5250 miles about 4k intervals and first tire rotation. I will be doing my transfer case and differential fluid and MT fluid at 10k miles along with 3rd oil change. Thanks for showing us and giving us some insight.
What is that?
Front suspension bushing/pads that go in between the springs during transportation of the vehicles. From cargo to trailers to dealers, and they forget about this check out
Omg 😲 😮😮😊❤
Got mine almost 7 months ago. That was one of the first things I had to do
It's a well known prob. for the most part , everyone I've talked to still had theres left on
Damn somebody did do they’re pdi correctly
They left stickers on my windows, under the hood, and transmission. They could've at least let me unwrap it too.
What is that tapped into your pan? Sickkk video and a huge help I'm about to tackle this job
Thanks man , been needing one for myself but couldn't find one. It's a Fumoto drain plug , just a quick oil drain valve that I bought to test out , I've been running it since my first oil change , it's super convenient but idk if you'd want to run that on your car there's no real benefit other then changing your oil without getting dirty and controlling the flow out.
When jacking your car up be sure to find the big purple bolt in the middle of your car past your undercarriage cover 👍🏼💪
Hope this helps someone and or gives yall some tips or tricks , so you can see that you can change all the fluids yourself and not get overcharged at dealers for basic fluid changes , brake pads , oil change etc. And everything that has to do with the GR Corolla
Do you think I could get away doing the trans fluid change on just the front ramps not being level?
@@KG_GRC yes you can, its not recommended but, be sure that what you take out is as much as you put in , 2 quarts out 2 quarts in, it's hard to get a good reading by just lifting it on ramps , but I did it. My drive way also isnt level it's on a slight incline so technically i was leveled just on ramps lol
