Don’t care abt cracking drive ways ? Lol
@@Nitroxdude when you use the calculation [Mass x (gravity+air time)] ÷ density of concrete + humidity and the number comes out lower than 60. Than you know your good. ;)
Brother if your concrete is cracking from that lil tree you need $back cuz it's some Chinese tofu dreg
Trust me I send wood down onto drive ways and walk ways also , but I do always wonder, because I have cracked concrete before and was shocked that I did .
Why reck your xring?

@In-The-Trees oh, OK then🙃
Toto je už dosť komplikované, ale tá chýba odpilenia, ja viem hore z pílou a na lane... Dá sa, jeden šikmi rez a padne to okolo hlavy. Lišta to dá na celú dĺžku.

Grcs right ? I just bought one and looking forward to using it
@@Nitroxdude yes'ser, you're going to love it.
Climbing trees … oh man everything seems to be off, I had pinching my saws
Care sharing what's off? And yah, pinching your bar is the worst.
@ I feel safer in my 75ft bucket truck… every tree I’ve climbed it’s always been some bad shhh to happen oddly
@@caldhamilton1520 ahh i got yuh. I definitely appreciate a lift whenever I'm in one too!

Keeping wedges with me in the tree has saved me
So can you climb srt without a rope wrench on that?
@@roccocirigliano8775 yah it's called the stitch hitch, it's pretty cool. I plan on messing around with it more.
How does the griffin do for you. Looking at buying one. If you stuff it full of logs does it have and problems dumping
@@masongreen1871 it's a great trailer, I've never had an issue dumping with it either.

@@Toby14215 your write.
@ yep.
How do you decide when to use a crane versus limbing it out and dropping it? Is it just basically when that’s not an option?
There's a veriaty of things to consider. But size and location of the tree play a huge part in the deciding process, this particular tree we paired with another job. The tree would have taken us all day with out the crane but we got it done in just a couple of hours.
@ that makes sense. Like if you’re going to rent a crane then might as well knock out as much work as you can with it. Thanks for the reply
@@deangiesel yah exactly! Any time man!
Thanks for sharing! What type of cuts are you using here? When i stand pieces up like that i make a WIDE open notch on the top side and feather the back cut until the piece is in the 'balanced' position. Then, finish the back cut to sever. It looks like you're cutting into the apex of your notch from the front side, but I'm not really a fan of speculation so i wanted to hear from the climber himself 💪
@@FrostyGetta open notch on top and shelfed it on the back cut. The way the log was starting to twist i tried nipping the side of the hinge to help it roll out (hope that makes sense) but yah my mistake was 100% cutting into the apex of the notch instead of the back.
That’s why shelf cuts suck. If it’s balanced right it will come off flat every single time . Waste of time
We we're standing a horizontal limb up with a GRCS, Not a crane pick. Otherwise I'd agree, do your best to balance it right than cut it off in a single pass... in most cases.
@@In-The-Trees Makes sense sorry lol thought it was a crane pick
Clean!
🫡
By chance could you have had the lines dropped
Yah, absolutely a posability but you're on consumers time when doing that. I felt comfortable enough to work around them.
Nice job bro!
i would be kinda scared that the rope snapped under such a heavy log and would hit my face
That's why you hire professionals. We take that risk and it's on us if something hits your fence 👍

That little loader grapple machine is sick!!! Subscribed

@@swagsyndrome10 appreciate you!
Nice work man. Looks like a replica of Kansas City… houses 10ft apart and power lines everywhere 😂 the GRCS never ceases to amaze me. I left full time tree work about 1.5 years ago but have considered getting back into it in 2025. If I do, GRCS would be on the top of my equipment list! Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Lol these jobs are always interesting. The grcs is an amazing piece of equipment, I wouldn't tell anyone serious about tree work to not get one!

@In-The-Trees 187 is the perfect length anyways

Every once in a while my T540xp does the same thing, very annoying. I recently switched my mix to Amsoil Sabre for all my saws and it seems to have remedied the issue for now. That T540xp also bugs me because of the location of the kill switch, I always hit it with my thumb.
That's good to know, yeah the thing is really annoying. When it wants to run it has so much power, but dealing with it stalling like that definitely bugs me.
Nice work. Winters here 🥶. That a Norway maple?
Yup! Norway Maple.

@@BigBlackTruckDave appreciate this comment, it's exactly what I was trying to say but articulated it very poorly.
Where are you located? I’m in Michigan as well, been at it 9 years and working on taking over my uncles company. Just wondering if you’re nearby!
I'm in the GR area, where are you located?
I'm considering buying a T540 with the same modifications as your saw. What was the cause of the stalling?
I bought two of them with the same modifications as him the one would never run right from day one I sent it back and I bought a 201 with the money I got back from the first one the second one I still have I've used it maybe three or four hours I'm sending it back to get fixed again because it does not idle it stops it starts it shuts down it's a pain when the saw runs it is an absolute monster that problem though is so annoying I need to get it fixed so hopefully this time it's the last time
@@johnmcmahon9115 some issues as @br-dj2ti. I noticed on real hot days i can't keep the thing at idle. I honestly can't recommend it, lately I've been running a modded 2511T that a friend built. I would consider going that route, that saw is a little animal.
@johnmcmahon9115 yeah either get a modified 201 or like he said a 2511 never have no problems with those at all but the 540 I feel like breaking it off the ground half the time
Yup, 2511 for the Win
Thanks, I’ll get the Echo. I appreciate all the suggestions. I’m a small company too and welcome the advice.
Thanks for sharing. I'm 69 with a three year old tree service. Today I pieced out a 50 white pine leaning over a road in 2.5 hours with no clean up. I used a 2511T with 14" bar for 2/3's of tge tree, and chunked down tge stem with a CS4910 with 18" bar. I love this work. I love your service truck. I'd be so organized with that. I love your Avant also. I'll be following your channel.
