I did spot a few floating logs/branches on the surface, maybe around 4 but they were easy to see and avoid. We were probably on the water sround 2 hours.

Yes, somebody with experience would do this task very easily. I did a search and couldn't find "padlock for weight". Maybe you are talking about a "locking pully"? The Dutch Cut you refer to I think can be refered to as a "Swinging Dutchman" if that is the cut you are suggesting, it looks like an awesome cut to learn. I have plenty of trees for practice with at my new home so I appreciate your comment.

@@Chris-tuber no the padlock is used at the end of the rope. You can then use a stick to throw the tether line much higher with accuracy.

@@Chris-tuber I was planning on it next year. Kind of a bummer you have to stay on the rope but I get it. I guess too it can verry what you see as it is in the wild.

@CTRadventures we were lucky in a couple of ways. First, we were the only two people on the trip. Second they said ten bull sharks was a little more than normal.
