Passport, led by Klaus Doldinger was a European fusion group that I really liked that has fallen through the cracks of time. I would substitute either of Stanley Clarke's self titled "brown" album or his School Days album for Children of Forever. Also, I'd pick Jean Luc Ponty's Enigmatic Ocean album over the one listed here. And Santana's Welcome album instead of Love, Devotion and Surrender. Weather Report's Black Market would make my list too.

Jukka Tolonen was guitarist mainly in the jazz-rock fusion band called Tasavallan Presidentti but played also in Wigwam both supergroup in prog. scene. Tolonen has also several soloalbums and Tolonen! was the first among them.

You forgot Passport! Most people like Cross Colateral, but my favorite is Iguacu. Also, 5 other great bands include: Shadowfax (Watercourse Way), Gong (Shamal), Flora Puirim (Open Your Eyes, You Can Fly), Brand X ( Unorthodox Behaviour), and Pekka Pohjola (Mathematician's Air Display). Finally, Jukka Tolonen's Cross-section is a masterpiece.

I'm sorry, but you don't really know Jazz Fusion. Where are the artist like The Brecker Brothers (Any of them), Return To Forever ( Romantic Warrior for ex.), Jan Hammer (Oh Yeah), Tony Williams Lifetime, Miles Davis (Tutu), Brand X, Roy Hargrove's Rh Factor for example. I'm not saying that some of your choices aren't bad, but there are Artists & albums missing, that if you're making a list like this they should be added.

Do you not know Casiopea or am I the only one who follows you who likes this band ? greetings Gerard

It would be nice if you had tied the artist together with the albums you presentedn i.e. Jean Luc Ponty & George Duke played with Frank Zappa and so on. It would give the novice collectors a wider scope of of the genre. Great list.

Of course Alphonse Mouzon early pieces especially Mind Transplant. Jaco Pastorius first solo album. Jan Hammer "Like Children" and Passport Klaus Doldinger up to 80s )) thank you again for the selection.

It goes without say that these are 25 of the finest fusion albums ever made, if not just finest albums. To anyone reading this comment, please do yourself a favor: Find a hard copy (any format) of Rivers Of Memory by Jessica Williams (RIP). She plays acoustic and electric pianos, organ, synth and celeste. For some reason, RUclips uploads from that album have a much slower playback speed
