Barbell over head press tutorial
The Barbell overhead press tutorial! This is a great exercise to increase your upper body strength! Pushing anything over your head is hard so don't be too hard on what weight you need to use. Start with a lighter pre-loaded bar if you are not yet able to get the 45lb standard barbell.
Now you want to get the barbell at a good height for you to get directly under it.
Brace the core, pull your abs in, the deep corset muscles in.
Do not lean backwards, keeping your core braced will help with this.
Remember you are only as strong as your core.
Feet hip width apart.
Brace the core.
and press the barbell up over your head.
Bring the bar back down to your chest and repeat this movement.

Hey so this is a variation of an RDL. It’s called a constant tension RDL. So that’s why it looks that way 😂 it’s definitely not a standard variation of an RDL. Just another variation you can do if you like. Challenges the RDL in another way. That’s all.

@@presidentialfitness pull-ups are one of the most challenging exercises. It is rare to see people to even just 5 reps, let alone multiple sets. It took me about 2 years to go from assisted, to only being able to do 3 or 4 free hand, to now doing 4 sets of 9 reps. I’m 200 lbs.
@@christorok1906 they definitely are! I’ve gone through phases where I could do them and then not again. Currently pretty lean for me so they always come back when I’m lean 😆😆

Hey there ? Do what the hip thrust or reload the plates? The plates absolutely nothing 😆 the hip thrust. Is a hip hinge push movement so it engages the glutes and hamstrings mostly. 😊😊 hope that helps!
