Hearthstone Mansfield 8013 TruHybrid Combustion Example
This is a quick video demonstration of the Mansfield 8013 model wood stove operating with most combustion taking place in the firebox as visible flames about 3.5 hours into a burn cycle. Visible flames in the stove were re-established in the minutes following a "catalytic" operation demonstration by opening the throttle full for a few minutes, then selecting a manufacture recommended low-medium burn rate setting on the air control.
The wood in the stove is visibly flaming. Most smoke is being burned off by visible fire before it reaches the catalyst. This results in a medium catalyst temp ~1000F and low EGT's ~400F. Very high efficiency operating like this! Visible flames radiate energy i...

    • @mdocod
      @mdocod 4 месяца назад

      Back when this video was shot, we were blowing snow on gravel drives and off grassy areas with opportunities to accidentally dig in and pick up stuff we won't want being throw and damaging the blower, so we ran the skids all the way down, and left about 1" of snow behind... Since then, we have had a blacktop paved driveway installed so we usually pull the skids up and let it scrape it near clean.

    • @mdocod
      @mdocod 4 года назад

      The 2100RPM PTO speed is reduced in the blower attachment in a 19/40T chain reduction to about 1000RPM at the impeller, or about 4000ft/m impeller tip speed, which is a bit lower than many walk-behind throwers that have tip speeds in the 4200-4800ft/m range. The 11HP Ariens we used to own was at the upper end of that range and would throw up-to 30-60' depending on the type of snow and feed rate. So yea, if you're looking at this footage thinking it doesn't throw very far, that's true, however, the walk-behind units that can throw snow further also sacrifice the total snow processing capacity per HP in order to achieve that higher throw distance, and are much less consistent in throwing distance as the snow feed rate changes. While the maximum distance this unit can throw is less, it's noticeably more consistent/predictable. It's not dropping from 60' to 10' when shoved into a snow bank and bogged to oblivion. If you set a particular angle that's throwing 30' with this unit, it will pretty much keep throwing 30' regardless of whether it's skimming a little snow off the edge of a run or being jammed into a drift and used like a show plow. Different enginerding approaches.

      I have a 2017 x730 as well with the 54" snowblower. I did good snowblowing on asphalt upwards of a foot of snow, and did somewhat okay snowblowing gravel and grass where I park my trailer, but it had a habit of getting itself stuck if I went forward more than 4 feet and didn't leave room on the sides for the rear to slide into. I'm picking up a 2018 1025R (wanted a 2025R with radial turfs but just would look goofy mowing a 1 acre lot) to replace it as it became too frustrating to use. I hope you had better success, it really is a great mower though.

    A couple of suggestions mdocod: Put your front bucket in the full dump position when using the backhoe. It will help lock the machine in place and reduce the wear on the legs. You don't need to get off the backhoe and reverse the seat to move the tractor each time you need to reposition it. Lift the front bucket and legs (slightly) and use the steering wheel to guide and the backhoe to push you to the next position. You can't always do it this way but, in soft dirt and level ground like you have, it will speed you up quite a bit.

    Have you had any issues with the gears getting chewed up? What kind of lubrication and basic maintenance do you perform? My neighbors gears got chewed up last winter... and they said it was because they weren't lubricated...that it was very important to lube every year. Which is odd, because he always has the dealer set up his snowblower every year - seems like they would have checked that. I ask because of my neighbors experience and also because I just ordered a new JD 1025R with the 47 snow blower, front end loader and 60 mower deck.... get it in a few weeks. Hoping the snowblower doesn't prove to be a money pit. Thanks for your insights.

      sounds like your neighbor is using something extremely hard for there shier pins. I went from the standard shier pins to a even softer standard bolt. They cost less and are easier to pop in, and I want them to break before I destroy my gear box. It take a second to back up, an fit a new bolt in. Compared to the alternative.

    • @EddieSchirmer
      @EddieSchirmer 5 лет назад

      @@1teddy1979 lol plastic? naw its all metal far as i know... i have the same setup as in this video... the issue with the distance is due to the weight of the snow... when its dry powder i can toss snow 25-30 feet, though id own need it to go that far so im ok with less distance. in the really heavy stuff... be lucky to get it to throw 5-10 feet, even full throttle, but thats better than nothing. i often pick up my driveway with my machine and it handles it like a champ to be honest. despite breaking shear pins when the shute clogs from the heavy stuff, but then, i run it a bit harder than one probably should. only thing ive technically spent on my machine is fuel and shear pins hahaha. Graphite paint. You'd have to let it dry completely (aerosol can paint) and it may only last a few hours but you never know. - I'm going to try it this Winter on my little 40+ year old Jacobson 26" snowblower. I'll just spray everything the snow touches from enter to exit and see what happens. It can't hurt so it's just a matter of how long it can help and sometimes only a few hours is enough.

      Yes, I talked directly to Armytek and they said that this issue has been solved. On the other hand, my local dealer confirmed this issue, so I'll wait for another batch to come... Thanks anyway for this report :-)

      Ive had multiple problems with army tek flashlights and their warranty is anything but hassle free. I have a 2 month old army tek prime c2 pro thats acting up. They want me to send them the flashlight so they can trouble shoot it. This is after a dozen emails or so including taking multiple pictures and videos. Its gonna cost another $20 without tracking to send it back to china, $40+ with tracking. Dont waste your time

    Looked up manual and tried it. My light has the same problem. They should replace it correct?

    I also have that same lamp and love it. Haven't tried tactical mode and not sure how to activate beacon on the switch.
