@@tomijaroli8781 settings don't really matter, just dial it how ya like it, but eq's mostly around noon, gain at 3 And I just use a Marshall 4x12 straight cab with uk v30s

I will experiment a bit with it, never really used the OD2 orange mode, only OD1 green dialed to sound like a JCM800, or the OD2 red similar to Alexi Laiho’s settings 😅 Do you use an attenuator btw? I have the B cab, same straight Marshall, but with T75s, its insanely loud, can’t crank my amp in my apartment, otherwise I would get evicted 😀

@@tomijaroli8781 yeah I use the Od1 green for rhythms for kinda JCM800 BMTH type sound and I found that the od2 works well for a more bottom heavy Nuno Bettencourt type thing Unfortunately I find the green mode on either od channels usually sounds pretty terrible, probably because it was voiced like an 800 but the amp is just biased super cold, but after I biased it quite a lot hotter than stock (around the same as/bit hotter than a stock 800) the sound started to make perfect sense. Honestly a bit scary how much this sounds like an 800 after I'd done it

@@mikeimmonen6619 its more than that its that palm muting and picking he does so incredibly well . im from the early vinnie moore whole forearm picking school so palm muting is a bit of an issue. i am trying to correct , but that part of the solo might as well be magic it eludes me so much .but if it wasn't hard it wouldn't be so much fun to try . well done you any way .

@@fig1115 yeah it's definitely in the muting, more specifically palm muting legato to make it sound like alternate picking, and closing and opening the mute for that alive pulsating sorta sound that I didn't quite nail here either, the pattern is just so goddamn hard that I didn't have time to pay any more attention to muting than absolutely necessary :D

@@mikeimmonen6619 No worries, man. I play also. It takes a lot of time to come up with the idea, find the notes, get the measures in order and then practice them until it is correct. My problem is that when I first learned I used my middle, ring and pinky fingers. My pointing finger was for chords like G, E maj E minor. I still do that. Now I simply improvise. Take care.

@@Keith85210 yeah the first finger is a tricky one since we all mostly use it for chords or to hold down the first note of a lick so learning to move it around for fast legato is tough You too!
