I am really skeptical sa pagkuha ng med course pero buti nga nakita ko to sa mga suggested videos ko kasi nagrereasearch din ako about medtech. I really love how she explained it well talagang mas namotivate ko kasi halos ng mga nababasa ko about medtech is 80% negative yung inaadvice kaya I am so thankful na napanood ko to. I am the first in the family na kukuha ng med course kaya natatakot ako if ever na magmemed kasi yung pressure na mafifeel ko baka di ko kayanin. Tapos I am not so smart sa science bali average lang ako and natatakot ako na baka dahil di ako magaling sa science mahirapan ako especially yung mga scientific terms huhu. Sana makaya ko 🥹 Love this po, thank you so much Doc!

Did you ever think about working as a medical lab scientist in the US as they get 64k to 74k usd a year, plus a chance of US cizitenship, generouse retirement benefits instead of being an MD in the Philippines? I work a huge company in Salt Lake City. I have seen the job boards. They sponsor B1 visas. I only been there 2 weeks. Just curious.

I was really scared and nervous whether I chose wrong to take up psychology as my pre-med...(my first choice was nursing but because I passed DOST scholarship, I had to choose other courses like psychology or biology) then my state college placed me in psychology instead of biology which is why I was worried if I was on the wrong path. But God really has a purpose for everything, thank you so much mga doc for this inspiring video. Truly if medicine is for us, then nothing can stand against us! <3

I finished high school and first year in my country (according to our education system, it only provides 11th grade). I found that international undergraduate students can study MBBS (6 years)in the Philippines. Do you think whether I could apply BS+MD in UST? Please guide me how to get to UST because I want to study there. And do you know when will the application open this year? Or do you recommend any good med school for me?

My son going to grad next yr, may review pa ba ng nmat, his plan to take licenseure muna as microbiologist ,then Nmat, kung papasa , may 2 yrs pang pwede kang mag hintay kung proceed or not to proceed to med. And singit ko yung may scholarship na nagbibigay?

Bottom line: don't take biology if your one and only goal is to take medicine. Mas mahal ang biology compared sa medtech because palaging kunti ang enrollees. Your knowledge in ecology, evolutionary biology, botany, and zoology will never be EFFICIENTLY used sa medical school. If we compare a medtech student to a biology student, it is obvious na mas maramig alam ung medtech sa clinical knowledge. But at the end of the day, you do you periodt

i am now a psych freshie and minsan napapaisip ako if tama ba kasi hindi nga siya super alligned sa medicine pero i think it’s up to the person if yung effort niya mag pay off talaga sa med school if everrr, i guess we just gotta enjoy our college life and mag worry nalang us sa med school HAHAHAH, kung kaya ng ibaa why not tayo? hoping to become a neurosurgeon parinnn
